Video: Protesters Can't Define 'Assault Rifle'

These kids know they want to ban guns, but they have no idea what those guns are.

Here’s what a few leading Democrats had to say after participating in Saturday’s “March for Our Lives.”

“I marched for two hours with the students in New York and came away inspired by their enthusiasm, steadfastness and focus on electing representatives who support their goals. The only thing standing in the way of achieving their goals is the president.” —Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)

“We’re going to put in place your program. But it’s going to take us raising public sentiment, and you are doing that right here, right now.” —Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN)

“Every great social change movement in this country’s history has been led by young people.” —Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT)

“They have figured out that they do a lot better when they organize and lift their voices together.” —Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)

“People don’t want big long clips of many rounds, and they don’t want assault rifles out there to conduct these massacres that we’ve seen.” —Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL)

And here’s what the students to whom we’re supposed to turn over gun policy know about what they want to ban:

Perhaps — just perhaps — we shouldn’t let ignorant teens set national policy. In the meantime, we suggest they refer to assaultweapon.info to learn a thing or two.
