I hate to say this, but it seems the only strategy Democrats want to employ these days is “divide and conquer.” I hate to use the generic term Democrat instead of liberals, but I am not seeing many (if any) Democrats taking a stand against the tactics of their party’s leadership. By doing nothing and saying nothing, they are in essence agreeing to these slash-and-burn policies.

I have to believe that there are still those who identify as Democrats who, like so many of us today, are dumfounded by how far to the left the party’s leadership has moved. Abraham Lincoln rightly stated the obvious: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

It seems the only strategy the Left has is to pit one group against the other. Blacks are competing against Hispanics for jobs or benefits; Hispanics are against whites because we are all “racist”(?); Muslims are not being treated right, they say — or says organizations like the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a dubious organization at best. In reality, Jews in America are the ones who have really been the victims of true hate crimes. But, like Christians, they are on the Left’s list of people who “don’t really count”!

I remember the unity Americans had right after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. Remember Republicans, Democrats, and Independents all standing on the Capitol steps singing the song, “God Bless America.” How long did that unity last? About as long as it took for liberals to realize they could lie about President George W. Bush and undermine his presidency. Apparently, they’ve never stopped doing it.

There were the brief eight years under President Barack Obama; they couldn’t complain about him. He did, however, go around the world apologizing about America because he saw us as the problem in the world. But now, it’s all-out war on conservatives; dividing Americans into different “tribes” and convincing them (or trying to) that liberals have their best interest at heart.

Is that all they have? Tribal warfare, global gloom and doom, hating anyone who disagrees with them and, worst case scenario, “We will destroy you by any means necessary if you stand against us.” Why would we even think about voting for them?

What makes America great is when its citizens are united around the principles established at the founding of our country. When we are united around Judeo-Christian ethics, no enemy can stand against us. But, if we can be divided into all of these factions, then we will not stand against our enemies.

Do you find it as interesting as I do that most young people have no idea of the great things our nation has accomplished? We don’t teach American History but “social studies,” which is whatever the teacher thinks their impressionable students need to hear. Many times, that is everything that is supposedly wrong with America. If most students took the test that LEGAL immigrants take to become a U.S. citizen, the majority of them would fail. Again, I believe this is being done on purpose.

It is time everyone, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents — forget the socialists; that’s a lost cause — realize we will not be defeated if we stand up for freedom and all of the rights and privileges that come with it. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights for a reason. It’s time we get back to basics.
