It has been growing for some time now, but with the election of Donald Trump, it has gone into hyper-drive! “Trump Derangement Syndrome” sure seems real to many of us who are just regular folks.

President Bill Clinton was treated with respect by the media, even though he was a morally and ethically challenged person (I’m being kind). Then came the Bush administration and the War on Terror after the September 11, 2001 attacks. The media made fun of everything about George W. Bush — how he talked, pronounced words, pretty much anything he said. Some of us are old enough to remember the chants of “Bush lied, people died” when we went into Iraq. Bush refused to dignify the attacks and sully the dignity of the office of the president. Yet many of us wish he had spoken out on some of the outrageous lies spewed by the media.

Then came Barack Obama. The media swooned over every word he spoke. He was the smartest man to ever be president. He had even been to all 57 states while campaigning for the presidency (public school kids, there are only 50 states)! Obama was cool, even if he lied about healthcare, Fast & Furious gun running, and Benghazi. He was cool; it didn’t matter what he said or did.

Then, by some twist of fate or disruption in the space/time continuum, Trump was elected. It seems voters were tired of career politicians and wanted someone who would shake things up. Did they get what they asked for? Some have buyer’s remorse; but most on the Right take great delight seeing the political landscape turned upside down in the swamp of our nation’s Capital.

Trump voters did not vote for him because of his sterling character. Like every human living, he is a flawed person. He makes it easy for some people to hate because he dares to strike back at his attackers. That is not something they are used to from a Republican. I admit, at times I wish he would stay off Twitter or moderate his tweets; but then I see how the media goes into full meltdown when he dares to hit back. It may bother me at times, but it sure helps the average American see how unhinged the Left and the media have become.

It doesn’t matter what political persuasion you are, we should all be concerned about TRUTH. Just because you hate someone does NOT give you the right to make up things to destroy their life. But we are seeing a media so unhinged that no matter what day you pick up a newspaper or tune into one of the mainstream media channels on TV, all you hear is TRUMP, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, treason, bribery, quid pro quo (forget that one, it doesn’t poll well) or some crazy allegation. If there was ANY evidence of wrongdoing, three years and over $30 million spent investigating him would have found something, right? He can’t be stupid and a criminal genius at the same time!

Most Americans see a booming economy, low unemployment, historic unemployment for all minorities and women, and record-breaking markets. The media has simply become “white noise.” No one believes them anymore. Crying wolf is not working. Why don’t they consider reporting real news?
