Monday Executive News Summary

Iran fires missiles at U.S. consulate in Iraq, Biden’s big border “success,” black students charged with “hate crimes,” and more.

Top of the Fold

  • Iran fires missiles at U.S. consulate in Iraq: As many as 12 missiles launched by Iran struck near the U.S. consulate in Erbil, Iraq, on Sunday. No casualties were reported, and according to the State Department, there was no damage to the U.S. facility. The strike comes just as the Biden administration was forced to hit pause on its efforts to resurrect the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal as Russia raised new demands regarding economic sanctions. The official line from Tehran for the missile barrage was that it was a hit against “secret Israeli bases” in retaliation for an Israeli strike that killed two Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Syria days prior. Of course, Iran’s missile attack shows that it has little concern or fear that its actions will receive any punitive response from a feckless Joe Biden.

  • Biden’s big border “success”: Growing the population of illegal aliens living in the U.S. has been the Biden administration’s de facto immigration policy goal irrespective of claims to the contrary, and the latest numbers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicate that it has been highly successful. Even as the number of migrants caught illegally crossing the U.S. southern border has hit record highs, the number of ICE arrests and deportations has steadily decreased. In fiscal year 2021, ICE arrested 74,082 and deported 59,011. The year prior, 103,603 arrests were made while 185,884 noncitizens were deported. Team Biden’s official reason for the signifiant drop is that “We are focusing on what we consider quality arrests.” Yet that explanation appears dubious, as just 2,718 deportees from 2021 were known or suspected gang members, whereas the year prior those with suspected gang ties was nearly double at 4,276, and in 2019 the number was 5,500.

  • Black students charged with “hate crimes” for assaulting white students: In Broward County, Florida, five black middle school-age students have been charged with “hate crimes” following their attack on several white students. Police say the victims were “racially profiled.” According to the report, as several white students were being dropped off at a recreation center near their school, they were approached by some black students who yelled “it’s opposite day” and “brown power.” One student who was attacked because “he is white” said that “after they jumped me, they said this is, like, revenge for what they did in the 1700s for slavery.” This is the result of Critical Race Theory being promulgated through American public schools — students are taught that whites are “oppressors” and minorities, especially blacks, are “victims.” It is not shocking at all that some students trained to think this way would behave accordingly.

  • Adidas goes woke and endorses men competing in women’s sports: In a new advertisement, the Germany sports apparel company Adidas endorses biological men competing against women so long as they identify as women. In the ad, a montage of several male athletes who self-identify as “transgender” are depicted while a narrator states: “It’s impossible. To take hold of the world’s spotlight overnight. Create your own uniform. Be a cover model. A powerful athlete. Or compete as a trans woman. Impossible? No. I’m possible.” The feature athlete is Tiffany Abreu, a male Brazilian volleyball player who identifies as female. “I play for Brazil and for all trans women,” Abreu says. “So when you cheer my name, we all win — on and off the court. My story is not impossible. Because I’m possible.” Clearly, execs at Adidas — who recently objectified women in a nude ad — think there is money to be made in pushing the absurd, obscene, and false notion that there is no real difference between the sexes.
