For those of us who weren’t born yesterday, we know the United States is a constitutional republic. We have a Constitution and a Bill of Rights that lay out how the three branches of government are supposed to operate.

As Thomas Jefferson warned us, repeatedly, the judicial branch over the years has continually eroded our system of checks and balances, making our laws unrecognizable to our Founding Fathers. The Rule of Law and equal justice under the law are apparently subject to interpretation.

Progressives, starting with the Obama administration and now on steroids under Biden, have trampled individual rights under the feet of a corrupted Justice Department and a politicized FBI. I have always had great respect for the FBI. While serving as a criminal investigator in the Marine Corps, I had the opportunity to work with FBI agents several times. I even considered joining the FBI after I finished my enlistment.

Knowing a few agents, it’s disturbing how the leadership of the bureau has abused its authority, becoming the enforcement arm of the Biden administration for political purposes. There are so many examples of this; where do I start? The January 6 “insurrection” is a good example.

Across the country, career criminals offend over and over again and are released to go out and violate the law without penalty. However, if you showed up in DC on January 6 and walked through the Capitol, or perhaps just on the grounds, you could have been locked up without bail, without a pretrial hearing, or without legal representation because you’re a national security threat. I’m not defending those morons who broke the law or assaulted Capitol Police. Charge them as the law requires.

We could look at the FBI’s raid on Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago. The warrant was so broad it covered Trump’s activities from Inauguration Day until he left office. Agents were given permission, or took it upon themselves, to search every single room in the sprawling complex. We could also look at the FBI’s war on journalists. The FBI went after Project Veritas. Apparently, looking into Joe Biden’s daughter’s diary was a threat to national security.

Twenty months after January 6, the FBI is still looking for those who might have been in DC on that infamous date. For some reason, it hasn’t been able to free an agent or two to look into all of the crisis pregnancy centers that were either firebombed or vandalized. Why was the MyPillow guy arrested in the drive-thru of a Wendy’s restaurant? They took his phone away so it kept him from running his business, all because he supported Trump!

Then there’s the raid on the home of a pro-life spokesperson by a small army of armed agents because he’s got seven small kids in the house. You can’t be too careful when dealing with pro-lifers, I guess?

This abuse of power can’t continue. It seems the Biden administration simply wants to intimidate anyone who disagrees with its far-left policies. Disagree with us, and we’ll crush you! That’s not a very good way to win people to your side. Make your voices heard at the ballot box! Get out and vote!
