Before we can change anything, we must identify that which is to be changed. America is still purportedly a Democratic Republic whose governing document is the Constitution of the United States of America. At least that is what it is supposed to be. However, our elected Chief Executive Officer, often referred to as the President of the United States, act more like the caliph of some God-forsaken, lost in the Middle East.

Barack Obama has repeatedly told some of his American subjects, the left wing Socialists precisely what they wanted to hear, which is, “I am the One who was anointed to lead your land and I really appreciate your bending to my wishes.” The other 50 % do not see it that way.

We still see America as the vision of our founders, “John Winthrop’s Shining City on a Hill.” A country populated by followers of a Judeo-Christian Ethic and not particularly fond of pompous, arrogant, narcissistic, deceptive liars. Nor do we choose to put our trust and faith in one who flippantly tells the Chief of State of one of our most loyal friends that his country must give territory to its enemies. What chutzpah, what brass, what arrogant nonsense and what a perverted notion of statesmanship.

We have a nation blessed by God with vast wealth in natural resources, fertile land and room to stretch and to breathe fresh air. We have welcomed the downtrodden from the four corners of this wondrous blue planet. They have added to our wealth as well as to their own.

America the Beautiful has on numerous occasions sent its bravest and best to defeat tyrants and then help those countries rebuild and prosper. We have asked little or nothing in return and that is precisely what we have received.

So, in a nutshell, that is the status quo. Is there action needed to get America back on track? What are the major deficiencies which need correcting? Americans being who they are, are not quick to condemn and take action. That is a problem of the first order. We the People must now rise up in righteous anger, ask our most benevolent Creator to forgive us our complacence and set about righting the Ship of State.

Though some improvement has taken place sine the last National election, our legislative leaders have been far too timid and seemingly reluctant to wield the power for which they were elected. This creature we call President, and his Democratic followers in The Senate and in The House are attempting to subvert the will of the people. Following are some items in need of timely attention.

• Repeal the Healthcare Act (though the House actions may fall short in the Senate and a stubborn, recalcitrant and foolish Obama would likely use the power of the veto, the message would have been sent.)
• Do not raise the debt ceiling; that is an invitation to Spend, spend, spend.
• Override all moratoria on drilling for oil.
• Encourage the Petroleum Industry to Drill, drill, drill.
• Revamp Medicaid, cut back on the giveaways.
• Follow the example of Hoover, Truman and Eisenhower. Deport those illegal aliens who show no propensity for a good work ethic and legal behavior.
• Repeal Roe v Wade and no federal funding for abortions.
• Take such action as necessary to let Israel know we value her friendship.
• Take such action as necessary to abolish any notion that Shariah Law will be recognized in any American Court of Law.
• No more bailouts and no bonuses for executives of bailed out companies.
• Abolish the EPA, The Department of Education, The Bureau of Indian Affairs, The bureau of Land Management (A state function)
• Remove the border protection function From the Department of HS and give it to the Dept of Defense. Leave Customs as is.
• Impeach Obama for his many and severe violations of the Constitution. This act alone would take Obama out of the 2012 equation.
