A leaked memo from Gary Ridgeway, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Justice in Eric Holder’s Department of Justice states a variety of things that should be considered in the current debate on Gun Control (excuse me, People Control). Those include:

1. Fatalities from mass shootings …  account on average for 35 fatalities per year.

2. Gun buybacks are ineffective as generally implemented. Australia’s gun buyback … report finds no effect.

3. Effectiveness [of background checks] depends on the ability to reduce straw purchasing, requiring gun registration.

4. … crime guns were first purchased at local – that is, in county – licensed dealers, rather than from out of state.

5. Assault weapons are not a major contributor to gun crime.

6. … complete elimination of assault weapons would not have a large impact on gun homicides.

7. [Smart guns are] Unlikely to affect gun crime.

8. In order to have an impact, large capacity magazine regulation needs to sharply curtail their availability to include restrictions on importation, manufacture, sale, and possession.

Are you kidding me? Nearly all of these make it abundantly clear that the current press for “Gun Control” in Congress will have no real effect on crime! Number 2, 5 and 6 speak directly to the waste that the Feinstein Gun Ban would have. Oh, the previous ban had no effect – duh!

But the real kickers show up in 3 and 8: Registration and confiscation.

If you don’t believe this reveals very clearly Obama and Holder’s agenda on guns and the Second Amendment, you need to crawl back into your box of rocks!
