Staring Into the Abyss
I was sitting here this morning, thinking maybe I could get a handle on what goes on in the minds of progressives. Big mistake. I found myself wading through this amoral swamp where they must go to think, and I stumbled across this:
Here’s Chelsea Clinton, discussing the fact that her maternal great grandmother got pregnant in her teens, and lamenting the fact that she didn’t have access to the services of Planned Parenthood. Hello? Is it possible that she doesn’t grasp the obvious fact that had that been the case, neither she nor her mom would be here? Is it possible that she could be that, um, vacant? Apart from the logical absurdity of her statement, the existence of Planned Parenthood exposes a near complete moral vacuum on the part of progressives.
In this country, since the advent of Roe v Wade in 1973, over 56 million unborn babies have been murdered in the name of women’s “rights”.
All of the victims of all the Ted Bundys and Jeffrey Dahmers in the last 50 years don’t show on the scale compared to this fact.
It’s a number of human beings that is far greater than the total number of Americans killed in every war since the American Revolutionary War. It approaches the number of people murdered by Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, and Hitler combined.
These are all facts, Chelsea. Look it up.
Progressives have brought this country to a place where one’s personal convenience and “rights” supersede the right of some other human beings to simply exist. Of all those 56 million human beings who never were given the chance, some of them would have been Ted Bundys, no doubt. But some of them would have been Michaelangelos and Voltaires and Marie Curies, and all of them would have had the chance to find their own destinies the way God had intended. But it was not to be because they were not considered convenient to other people. Progressives are beyond reason, and the rest of us are faced with this: either we are going to do something about it, or we are going to allow it to continue. Nietzsche said, “When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you”…
