Human Nature: Suffering Evils That Are No Longer Sufferable
I recently had a conversation with dear fried George Rogers Clark about the attitudes of the American people with respect to American politics. Specifically in regards to the systematic and relentless attempts of the Obama Administration and the legislative “establishment ” to destroy our Republic governed by the Rule of Law – “original intent” of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Reinforced by the Bill of Rights.
Because it is the nature of mankind, I put, without malice, the public arbitrarily into five groups. The first are the I don’t have a clue folks who are happy with the freebies paid for by others. . The second group are the folks too busy trying to survive and succeed to pay attention to what is going on. The third group are folks who believe they have earned thge right to just live off the earnings of their lifetimes and don’ t want to be bothered with the hassle of politics. Give them some money and they’ll go away thinkers. Then there are those who are concerned but don’t know what to do or who believe whatever they might do wouldn’t make any difference anyway. So they do nothing. Finally there are those wh are actively doing “something” to keep the country from going under. There are literally millions of these folks who are desperately t o protect our freedoms, one freedom at a time.
What we have today is the panorama of human nature which is basically unchanged over the centuries. In the days of Plato and Aristotle it was true. The Founding Fathers in the Declaration of Independence acknowledged the nature of mankind in this way, “experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. ” Today, we are still so disposed to suffer from evils which have now become insufferable.
What are some of these “evils”?
There is a concentrated attempt to take our right – freedom – to bear arms. That right was specifically created to defend against a despotic and tyrannical government. At the same time the government is arming ir’s civil servants as if they were military. They are being furnished them with weapons and billions of rounds of hollow point ammunition which is specifically design to kill rather than wound. And they are being trained to use them The government is removing our traditional Christian Faith and our patriotic acts from public schools and military services.
They are destroying our reasonable expectation of privacy in many, many ways. NsSA spying on the internet. Collecting and storing data thorough Obamacare, IRS, and now tih data mining of our children in the Common Core National Education program Common Core is both unconstitutional and illegal . More is at sstake there than just the way our children are educated. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” The Federal Government is taking over our educational system and will use it as a weapon against us. They have nationalized healthcare and will decide who lives and who dies. They are eliminating our right to due process by assigning a name to us. All veterans are potential Terrorists. They are disregarding the limits placed upon government by the constitution. They are creating new “law” with regulations and executive orders bypassing Congress who doesn’t seem to care. They are spending our grandchildren into poverty. The more immediate danger there is the collapse of the dollar and the hyperinflation the follows. A hyperinflation that will reduce the value of our bank accounts and pensions to near zero and cause widespread unemployment and unrest.
The Evils are no longer sufferable.
The Founding Fathers also said in the Declaration and I quote, “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty to throw off such Government and to provide new Guards for their future security.” Such has been our patient sufferance. The time has come for us, too, to provide new Guards for our future security.
The American people have a long tradition of standing up for liberty at home and abroad. Our Civil War, World War I, the War to end all wars, and the many other nation building excursions we haave undertaken. We are that kind of people. It is time for Americans to stand up for themselves.
We can provide those new Guards without resorting to revolution. We have all of the resources , skills and manpower ( and womanpower) we will need to do it, But time is of the essence.
I have developed an idea for a plan to restore America and undo most of the evils which have been heaped upon us . Simple but effective, I believe. In my next commentary, I will lay the plan out for your examination, comment and action.
