Presidents: Worse, Worser, Worst

Debate about the greatest Presidents in the history of America must by definition include debate on which is the worst President, not as easy a task as that of which is best. Keith Olbermann graded important figures as Worse, Worser, Worst, an apt describer of reality.

Presidents are unlike worms and groundhogs that live in the dirt but are clean, whereas Presidents, like most career politicians in DC are above dirt but dirty from grime and crime they create, leaving cleanup to the next “Occupier,” something that never happens, except to make a dirty situation worse.

Groundhogs have their day but it is those dressed in finery that steal the show, disturbing the hibernation of the poor groundhog that becomes a convenient, though unwilling prop. Worms do their work in the dirt, aerating it to make it useful to humans, but professional incumbent politicians are like pigs wallowing in feces.

Why should there be Presidents Day in the first place? Presidents like fathers, had their day, but in the case of mothers, they did all the pushing leaving celebration to the father.  Mothers are the milk-bone of the family unit that, done well creates armies of good citizens trained and guided by wisdom.

Presidents receive honors and accolades as though they were earned when in fact they were bestowed. Forgotten is the Biblical admonition, “But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.”

Significance of that Bible verse is admitted when Liberals clamor for the rich to pay more taxes because they have more money. Once again, the Bible 2,000 years ago, said it first, last, and always. Liberals often express animosity toward the Bible and Christianity, but cannot escape its ingrained wisdom, ethics, and morality.

Wisdom is something evidently not taught at the eight prestigious Ivy League universities, all of which are listed in the top twenty U.S. universities. The last seven Presidential elections have been dominated by Harvard or Yale alumni, the last ones being Barrack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H Bush.

Sadly for the U.S., what Presidents wrought is one blunderous disaster after another, ranging from pre-emptive wars to economic catastrophes, and for that they should have special honors and their own Presidents Day and libraries designed to magnify their accomplishments?

Presidents since FDR obsessed with their title of Commander-In-Chief, and that means war, declared or not. America has been at war since President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR), perhaps intentionally at least partially, induced U.S. entry into World War II by shipping war materials to one e combatant country and questionable interference in the Japan-China War that led up to Japan attacking Pearl Harbor. The only exception occurred when Five-Star General Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower, 34th President, 1953-1961, officially ended the Korean War in 1953.

Obama followed the war template by interference in Egypt and Libya that had a domino effect, spreading to Syria, creating the impasse of Russia with Syria calling the shots, checkmating Obama. G.W. Bush opened the can of pre-emptive war worms with his attack on Iraq with the oxymoron rationale that “It was a war to prevent war.” Only a Yale alumnus member of the secret “Skull and Bones” can conjure something so pathetic as to change the Middle East offsetting balance of power between Iraq and Iran, forever.

Besides being Commander-In-Chief, Barack Obama is President of all the U.S. but as a Black father with two daughters ignores the blight of single motherhood prevalent in the Black community. Too many Blacks are disproportionately unemployed, leaving the child-bearer to continue the pushing, while combining responsibility of motherhood with bread winner, while single male bread winners figure they did their job with the creation, and immerse themselves in every type of seemly innocuous activity, legal and illegal, never growing into mature responsible adulthood.

Single fathers are absent from their selfishly-created families by design, and the viral growth and acceptance of this phenomenon parallels coarsening and degradation of American culture, ethics, and values that drift further from the work ethic that built America from the ground up.

President Barack Obama must hate his own Black community when he with the help of EPA, NLRB, and various bureaucracies, in effect legislate with unworkable rules and regulations designed to inhibit business, destroy jobs, retard new job creation, while building his army of beneficiaries that are unemployed by design.

Unemployed adult Blacks are double the national unemployment rate while the rate for young Black men hovers near 50%. Small wonder that many young Black men end up as troublemakers and drug dealers with histories of incarceration being, their rite of passage and badge of honor.

Obama could reduce Black unemployment but opts to stand between fiscal recession, depression, and fiscal sanity, but this Harvard alumnus spends $Billions that accumulate to upward of $Trillion to fund failing Green businesses that create few new jobs. Obama purposefully blocks tens of thousands of good-paying, tax-paying jobs, like Keystone XL Pipeline, opting to give unearned welfare benefits in return for votes to support de facto dictatorship.

Should President Obama be honored for that and for deliberately acting unconstitutionally with Executive Orders that legislate, a duty of Congress alone, as he brags that he cannot wait for Congress?

Presidents from the beginning have sought to increase their powers that represent one-third of Government functions, but Congress has been loath to rein in Presidential runway power grabs. That attitude is epitomized by the statement of GOP House Speaker John Boehner, in answer to a spending debt limit confrontation, uttered these cowardly words, “I want to live to fight another day.”

Should Presidents Day and Fathers Day be dropped, and which might be Worse, Worser, Worst? Or should they be jointly celebrated on Donut Day, the hole in the donut marking the big zero? That is not to denigrate traditional fathers who joy in multiple roles of husband, father, provider, counselor, and role model.
