Everybody; Somebody; Anybody; Nobody – Fact of Religion & Politics

Complaints about anything and everything are rampant, but another take along the same line has been reflected in a recent sermon by South Korean Pastor Father Francis Kim serving at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Absecon, NJ, featuring four characters, “Everybody; Somebody; Anybody; Nobody.”

“Once I heard a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

In the end, Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
It happens sometimes in our community and in our family.”

The next comment of Francis, “If as Christians we want to demonstrate love to the world around us, we must become examples to others instead of doing nothing. We are all called for doing something for the mission of the Church, for the Kingdom of God.” A very apropos statement that applies to Christians who are also citizens of the United States of America.

Parochial schools, at least in earlier times, taught that a good Catholic Christian was a good citizen, keeping valid law of the land as reflected in the Ten Commandments and the Word of God. Christians must be foremost in maintaining the axiom, “For God and Country.”

Stipulated that no human is without sin. Christian belief is that Jesus the Christ became man and died to redeem ALL mankind from its sinfulness. Peter was commissioned to lead the early Church, but even Peter who lived and walked with Jesus for three years denied Jesus three times, but was forgiven three times. Jesus said to Peter the third time: “Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he had said to him the third time: Lovest thou me? And he said to him: Lord, thou knowest all things: thou knowest that I love thee. He said to him, Feed my sheep.” Though Peter sinned grieviously, Jesus gave Him charge of the Church of Christ on earth.

Peter was a Nobody fisherman, who became a somebody, something that anybody can do but nobody has the chutzpah for doing the right thing, expecting that nothing can be done by anybody for everybody, but as if by magic it will all be done for them with the wonderful APPS that are reaching for reading Everybody’s mind.

How can Anybody be Somebody when Everybody waits for government to do what Nobody will? Never mind, there is Obama who will do anything with his pen and phone, and does so with a vengeance against God and Country. Obama is the Somebody who will do what Nobody dares do to Everybody; Anybody notwithstanding.

Everybody can be a Somebody and Nobody will be left out as Anybody can overcome human deficiencies inherited from Adam and Eve, to become a permanent Somebody who hears the comforting words from their Creator, “Well done my good and faithful servant,” to rise above the now Nobody who might hear the deadly words, “Depart from me, ye that work iniquity,” the supreme refutation of the godless Politically Correct. Lucifer Satan is the Father of Lies, and will be quick to gather his own miscreants that hear those fateful words.
