President Obama spiked the ball as his administration claims 7.1 million ObamaCare signups, but isn’t the U.S. population over 300 million? What is there to celebrate except the shortcomings of new math, no doubt taught by the new “Common Core” education model for failure? Original rationale for ObamaCare was to insure the 10%, some 30 million that had no insurance, and despite the Obama unconstitutional shenanigans. Billions spent, misspent, and six years of Congress wasted, no change, 30 million are still uninsured, an exercise in futility.

The initial fallacy is that those not having medical insurance had access to public clinics and hospitals that are not authorized to turn away patients having neither insurance nor ability to pay. Enter the supreme mathematician who in his wisdom institutes destructive answers to the problem, accomplishing nothing more than to magnify existing problems with intended or unintended consequences.

Either way, ObamaCare negative consequences damage the U.S. still one more time in multiple ways, by this Obama despot imposing “Death by a thousand paper cuts,” meaning “Many small bad things are happening, none of which are fatal in themselves,” except the 1,000th cut that is fatal. If that does not define the Obama presidential years, nothing does.

As to solving the problem of providing health insurance to all legal residents of the U.S., who is smarter, Obama the Columbia-Harvard protégé, or an average non-descript run-of-the-mill graduate of a Philadelphia Jesuit college? First of all, this writer does not profess smartness as much as accepting the Albert Einstein truism, “The difference in intelligence of the most intelligent and the least intelligent human being is infinitesimal compared to all the knowledge there is.”

Based on the validity of that premise, this 85-year old retired CPA applies acquired wisdom attained as a result of living through many self-created crises and mistakes, offers a solution to the Obama problem of providing ALL Americans with health insurance. The solution is not earth shaking, but perhaps wise and based on what already exists, is similar, proven, has an existing set of rules, regulations, infrastructure, and works reasonably well. The wheel need not be reinvented, merely reapplied.

Valid workable solutions can be too simple and obvious to be seen by those professing high degrees dispensed by institutions of the Intelligentsia who respect only the unmanageable, over complicated, and indecipherable. They tend to be so impressed with the success of their failures that they then go on to other problems ignoring the pre-computer punch card admonition, “Do not bend fold spindle or mutilate,” but the mutilation continues unabated.

Ancient Greece developed a single wheel implement that helped create all of ancient and modern construction, the one-wheel wheelbarrow that is still indispensable and found on contractor pickup trucks. MediCare may be the one-wheel solution to replace ObamaCare and its centepedic discordant wheels.

The following is an extract of a one-wheel single-payer plan to replace ObamaCare that in its simplicity has a better chance to work, the 3-page Universal Medicare (UMC) Single-Payer plan as follows.

36.) Institute a 3% National Sales Tax (NST) with NO exceptions for resale, charity, non-profits, religious, education, or government. The many cannot be continually supported by the diminishing few. A 3% NST may raise up to $7 trillion annually, double the current budget, reduce national debt, spread tax burden to all residents, legal or not. Allocation: the 1st 1% toward Budget, the 2nd 1% toward Reduction of National Debt, the 3rd 1% for Universal MediCare for all legal residents.

37.) Dedicate the first 1% NST to Universal Medicare to automatically eliminate most State Medicaid benefit requirements, costs, and overhead. State Medicaid mandated costs are virtually eliminated, reducing State budget shortfalls and tax requirements.

38.) According to a 7/6/10 analysis by Attorney Lanny Davis published in The Hill, there were $755 trillion in total transactions in the U.S. in 2008; $443 trillion if exempting stock transactions. Accordingly, NST on stock market transactions should be set at Three Mills beating the International movement toward the inevitability of this type of tax. This Three Mill stock market transaction tax will inhibit the negative and controversial effects of High Frequency Trading (HFT) that causes artificial volatility, benefitting only logarithm-generated bets placed by professional profit scalpers and executed in milliseconds, processes never available to traditional investors.
