We the Stupid – Part II

As a follow-up to my “We the Stupid” essay posted on July 11, 2014, I feel it necessary to try to offer some suggestions, or at least one suggestion, as to what we have to do to start the peaceful revolution at the ballot box. I do not want to be thought of as a whiner who complains about the way things are, but then fails to offer ideas for the solution of whatever the problem might be.

Right now, that is, as I write this, I don’t have any specific ideas about how we get it done, but I think the first thing we have got to do is obvious. Americans who have the desire to return to the Christian-based Constitutional form of government we once had in this country must go to our knees in daily prayer that God will give us, the common people, the wisdom to identify the intricate workings of the existing political machines, and then that He will give us the tools and show us how to dismantle those machines.

For far too many years we have allowed the political parties to force feed us a list of people we have to choose from in any given election. It is my belief that that list is always a well-manipulated listing of a select few. I know that there are some brilliant men and women throughout this country who are never given an opportunity to expand their horizons and demonstrate their abilities to the American people simply because they are suppressed from doing so by the political machines. Note the fact that I am talking about political machines (plural) and not a political machine. It is not just the Democrat Party’s machine that needs to be dismantled. The Republican Party’s political machine needs to be dismantled, too. Because of the horrific consequences of the Democrat Party being in control over the past six years in particular, it is very easy to overlook the fact that there is an equally dangerous Republican machine operating in the background. Both are controlled by the elite and the special interest groups who support them. The common man and woman is the lifeblood of this nation and it is time for them to be given the opportunity to rise to the top and be recognized for their abilities.

We must all exercise our right to vote whenever we have the opportunity. We don’t have to accept that list of candidates that the political machines throw at us to choose from. I often hear people say, “I voted for the lesser of two evils” or “I didn’t vote because it won’t do any good.” We have to lose that attitude. When you vote for the lesser of two evils, you are still voting for evil; and if you don’t vote at all, you are allowing “We the Stupid” to control your life. Let us keep evil off the ballot in the first place and vote for the best man or woman for the job. That process begins with us – the common man. Don’t vote for the man with the money bags just because he has money and power. Vote for a man or woman who loves America. Find that person in your community and put your support behind him or her. You do not need to vote for the man or woman with the fanciest résumé. Identify and vote for the man or woman with common sense.

We must ensure that never again does a man with an openly communist background come to power in these United States. We have to weed them out before they smooth-talk their way into the system. Right now, the Democrat Party platform is not significantly different than that of the Communist Party. Look it up and compare them. You may be surprised.

In reality, I think the Tea Party movement is trying to represent what I am advocating and perhaps, all we need to do is jump on their bandwagon. However, I, for one, cannot afford to throw money at their cause and, at least at the moment, I am too much of an introvert to go out in my neighborhood and beat the drum.

I happen to believe that there are a whole lot of people just like me out there in the small towns and communities across America. We have a message that needs to be heard, but we are afraid to stand up and yell on an individual basis. Why? More often than not, it is because we are afraid of being attacked and ridiculed by the media, the political machines, and the elite who look down their noses at us. I am thankful to Mark Alexander for making this “Patriot Post” Grassroots commentary available to people like me. Obviously, strength comes in numbers. I need to find those people who share the same feelings that I do, organize them, and bring them up out of the dust. That is what I hope to do and I hope that many, many others will join me.

Starting today, let us raise our voices and demand that we be heard. Don’t be afraid! Send commentary to The Patriot Post. The commenters will soon let you know what they think of what you have to say. And, perhaps most importantly, pay heed to those comments and act upon them in a positive way. Many of those people are just like me. They are looking for a voice that will be heard. Somewhere amongst us, there is such a voice. Maybe it is yours – maybe it is mine.

Although I have experienced nothing but kind comments from people responding to my original essay, I always put my alligator skin on as I go to this website to see how people have reacted to what I’ve said, as I expect that sooner or later somebody is going to jump up and bite me like a rattlesnake from under a bale of hay. But I believe it is God almighty who has given me the courage and ability to speak up in writing and who has guided me to this forum; therefore, that old rattler has no chance of hurting me. In addition, this is a conservative environment. Any liberal that reads our postings is probably lost and wondered onto the site accidentally, or he is finally removing the scales from his eyes and looking for answers. Can you imagine a better feeling than to know that you had a part in rehabilitating and converting a liberal?
