The Ignoble Nobel

The leftist elites are in the habit of giving awards to one another and praising and applauding one another, and this is quite effective at impressing the hordes of useful idiots who continually fall for every lie that comes along. If major mass media outlets or faculty members at Ivy League universities refer to someone as “brilliant” or “distinguished” or “much beloved” many people take that at face value, but a growing number of us see through the deceptions. And we are learning not to be impressed by one award in particular: the Nobel Peace Prize. Actually, we should not place too much faith in any Nobel awards, but the one for peace has become pretty much meaningless.

The awards were established by wealthy Swedish inventor and entrepreneur Alfred Nobel in 1895. A committee in Stockholm, Sweden awards the prizes for Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Medicine, and Economics, and one in Oslo, Norway hands out the prize for Peace. An examination of some of the winners shows that something is rotten in the (socialist) state of Norway. Some have been given to seemingly deserving individuals like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, and Polish labor leader Lech Walesa. Some other recipients may not be so deserving.

The prize is given out, not only to individuals, but also to organizations. The United Nations got the award in 2001; the organization was then 56 years old, and was supposedly created to bring world peace. But there has not been one day of peace on Earth since the birth of the UN, only unending war, revolution, and genocide. And it is the UN that pushes the sinister Agenda Twenty One; the UN’s own official maps show a world mostly off limits to humans, with enough farmland and watershed area left to support but a tiny fraction of today’s global population. In 2007 it went to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Al Gore. The IPCC used selective editing of data and the bogus “hockey stick” chart to “prove” manmade global warming, an excuse for drastically reducing the human population of the planet and lowering the living standards of the survivors (see Agenda Twenty One, above). Al Gore has profited hugely from the “carbon trading” scam. In 2012 the award went to the European Union, where unelected bureaucrats increasingly manage the affairs of people in other countries.

In 1973 Henry Kissinger and Le Duc Tho got the prize for bringing “peace” to Vietnam. Tho was a North Vietnamese politburo member; the communist regime he served killed tens of thousands of their own people and tortured American prisoners of war. Kissinger and Nixon had continued Lyndon Johnson’s war for nearly five years by this time, and it continued after Kissinger and Tho shared the prize, ending in a North Vietnamese victory. Kissinger is said to have grown up poor and worked his way through college and to have served in combat in the US Army in WWII. All of this is very fine, but he is also said to have referred to elderly Americans as “useless eaters” and our soldiers as “dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.” He also supposedly wanted the Third World to be depopulated, and wanted people to surrender their rights to a world government. If even one of these accusations is true, Kissinger is the last man on Earth who should have gotten a prize for peace; even if he never made any of those statements, why did he get a prize for prolonging and then losing a war?

In 1993 Nelson Mandela and Frederick Willem de Klerk were awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace for ending apartheid in South Africa. Mandela was a communist, a follower of a system responsible for the deaths of tens of millions. His efforts led to the present genocidal Black rule in South Africa, which seems headed down the same path to ruin as neighboring Zimbabwe.

In 1994 it went to Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres, and Yitzhak Rabin. Peres and Rabin failed to bring peace and security to Israel. Arafat was a bug-eyed, droopy-lipped “Palestinian” from Egypt and a lifelong terrorist mass murderer. He is also widely believed to have stolen over one billion in aid sent to the “Palestinian” people (most of them were from Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan). It is almost certain that he was a homosexual, and his death may have been due to AIDS.

In 2002 Jimmy Carter got the prize. Jimmy is the man who gave away the Panama Canal and saddled America with the Department of Education to dumb down our children and the Department of Energy that has done nothing to make the US self-sufficient in energy production. He also withdrew support for the Shah of Iran, leading to that country’s takeover by radical Shiite Islamists under the Ayatollah Khomeini, a man whose face was perpetually contorted by hate, and whose head was adorned by what appears to be a spare tire. Carter apparently adored him. This same Jimmy Carter, when the US embassy in Tehran was obviously in danger, refused either to beef up security or to evacuate it. Incredibly, the embassy was briefly occupied by Islamists, who then withdrew – and even then Carter did nothing, leading to the second occupation and the hostage crisis.

In 2011 feminists Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee, and Tawakkol Karman received the prize. Feminists are the people who support unlimited abortion and claim that women in America are “oppressed” by “male chauvinists.” Yet they never condemn Islamic subjugation of women, including genital mutilation of women and “honor” killings.

But two years earlier the Peace Prize went to one of the least deserving candidates imaginable: Barack Hussein Obama (or whatever his real name is). The reasons for the award are suitably vague; he received it “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between people.” Obama kept our troops in Iraq for many months before withdrawing most of them, and now has sent “advisors” back into that hellhole, and threatened to reinsert regular combat troops. He has kept the Afghan War going, with no plan for victory. He bombed Libya and replaced a relatively tame dictator and former supporter of terrorism with gangs of radical Islamists. Our Ambassador to Libya was apparently arranging arms transfers to Turkey and from there to Islamists in Syria, the groups who would soon come together as Isis, making this latest threat at least in part a US creation. The Ambassador can never be questioned about his role there; he was left to be murdered by the very radicals we were supporting. Despite all his foreign wars, our Dear Leader is failing to protect America, leaving our southern border wide open to illegal aliens, including drug cartel members and Islamists. His regime even sold arms to one of the cartels.

The Nobel Peace Prize is one more sick joke in a world that increasingly resembles a vast asylum for the retarded, ruled over by the criminally insane.
