Food for Thought
Every now and then, I come across bits and pieces of information that cause me to actually think even more about the world we live in — more particularly, the world of Democrat politics and how it is so obviously integrated into and a part of the mainstream news media. So, here are a couple pieces of food for thought that some of you might also find interesting, as I did. At the risk of, or perhaps better said, to avoid the risk of being accused of plagiarism, let me first point out that the majority of what I am going to write was originally written by someone else. It appears that it was originally in an email posted by someone identified only as David T. and was then re-posted or regurgitated at various websites on the Internet. However, I have also included many personal comments herein so as to claim at least partial responsibility for what is being said. So to identify my sources, or to verify what I am saying, may I suggest that you just do a Google search on “Ed Mezvinsky.”
Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky was born on January 17, 1937. Now, some of you are probably asking yourself, “So what? Who is Ed Mezvinsky?”
Well, he is a former Democrat congressman who represented Iowa’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.
He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.
He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached.
He and the Clintons were friends and very politically intertwined for many years.
Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.
In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton's controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.
In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud.
Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams. He was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in federal prison. If my math is accurate, that equates to 6 years and 8 months.
After serving less than five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal probation. To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.
About now you are saying, “So what!”
Well, now consider that Chelsea Clinton is married to Marc Mezvinsky. That’s right; Ed Mezvinsky is Chelsea Clinton’s father-in law.
Now Marc and Chelsea are in their early thirties and purchased a 10.5 million dollar New York City apartment.
Has anyone heard mention of any of this in any of the media?
If this guy was Jenna or Barbara Bush’s, or better yet, Sarah Palin’s daughter’s father-in- law, the news would be an everyday headline and every detail would be reported over and over. And yet liberals say there are no double standards in political reporting.
And people are already talking about Hillary as our next President! In fact, many people think it is inevitable regardless of her failed and corrupted lifelong record. By that, I mean only to point out that her corruptness and questionable legal antics have been ongoing since long before she and Bubba Bill came on to the national scene.
With the current empirical political machine that is operating in America, does that not leave open the possibility then that Chelsea is being groomed to run for president at some time in our future?
The cycle never ends!
With the assistance of the news media, lying and corruption seem to make Democrat candidates more popular. However, to be fair in this assessment, I must point out and admit that the aforementioned empirical political machine also does its best to promote a Bush family member or close associate to run the race on the Republican side. However, I believe that is only because of the fact old Jeb Bush is the only person in the current Republican stable that Hillary is likely to be able to defeat. It is my opinion that, if either Ted Cruz or Scott Walker wins the Republican nomination, the Clintons, more specifically, Hillary, as well as the mainstream news media, will be shaking in their boots.
Two other things that we as Americans must never forget:
“When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty.” —Thomas Jefferson
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” —Abraham Lincoln
