Hunter Biden was found guilty yesterday on three felony gun charges. It would have been an egregious example of what is called “jury nullification” if the jurors deliberately ignored the facts of the case and refused to convict.
 
It was crystal clear that Hunter lied about not being on drugs when he filled out a federal form in order to illegally purchase a gun.
 
But don’t lose sight of the bigger story. The most scandalous things Hunter did have nothing to do with this.
 
The big scandal is his channeling of millions of dollars to Biden family grifters from foreign interests that do not have the best interests of America in mind.
 
He failed to register as a foreign agent, which put Paul Manafort (Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign chairman) behind bars.
 
Hunter also failed to report $1.4 million of income on his federal taxes, and he will stand trial on those charges in September.
 
Daddy’s Justice Department tried to give Hunter a sweetheart plea deal to let him off the hook. But the Delaware judge had the courage to ask serious questions about the deal and refused to sign off on it. That’s the only reason we have arrived at this point today.
 
Hunter Biden is facing up to 25 years in jail on just yesterday’s conviction alone. But I do not believe for one second that Joe Biden won’t pardon his son or accept the verdict.
 
Once the November election takes place, it will be very easy for President Biden to pardon his son. If he wins, he knows he’s not running again. But if he loses, there’s no way Trump will pardon Hunter.
 
And do Hunter’s attorneys believe they have any grounds for an appeal? Biden is excoriating Donald Trump for not accepting the outrageous Manhattan verdict and promising to appeal.
 
But accepting every verdict is not how the rule of law in America works. Appeals are an essential part of the rule of law.
 
 
 
No Remorse
 
Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell” played a critical role in his federal trial on gun charges. There is no question any longer that the laptop is exactly what the New York Post said it was in late 2020.
 
Some reporters have gone back to the 51 intelligence officials who declared the laptop was “Russian disinformation” and asked if they had any regrets, wished they hadn’t signed that letter, or would like to apologize.
 
Not one of those 51 intelligence officials will do any of those things. Not one of them has even an ounce of remorse because their dirty trick worked. They protected Hunter and helped to rig the election for his father.
 
By the way, it was Antony Blinken, the current secretary of state, who recruited former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell to write the letter saying Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation.
 
So, Blinken created this massive disinformation campaign that went so far as censoring media outlets. He not only suffered no consequences for that lie, he’s now directing American foreign policy.
 
Why should we trust anything that comes out of his mouth? He lied to us for years!
 
 
 
Here We Go Again
 
A left-wing activist recently went to the Supreme Court Historical Society’s annual dinner. While pretending to be a conservative, she secretly recorded conversations with Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, and his wife, Martha-Ann Alito. But it is Justice Alito’s comments that are making headlines.
 
This was meant to be a total “gotcha moment,” and all the left-wing media outlets are treating it that way. But it’s not. Justice Alito is not quoted saying anything outlandish. He said what any conservative would be expected to say, and he said what many Americans believe.
 
He simply said that there are fundamental differences on key issues, and one side is going to win and one side is going to lose.
 
That’s exactly what Joe Biden says every day of his campaign. He describes one side as noble and on the arc of history, and everyone else as “semi-fascists” and “book banners.”
 
But when Justice Alito suggests that it’s difficult to negotiate with the left because “there are differences on fundamental things that really can’t be compromised” and “one side or the other is going to win,” well, that’s a “national scandal.”
 
 
 
The Culture War
 
What could Justice Alito possibly have been referring to? Whether there are dozens of genders or just two? Whether a baby is a human being or not? Whether liberty comes from God or government? The list goes on and on.
 
Of course, there is no middle ground on these issues! And only one side is going to win.
 
Where have I heard this before? Oh, I remember now.
 
Thirty-four years ago, Dr. James Dobson and I wrote a book called Children At Risk. The whole point of the book was that there is a civil war over values raging in the country. Our children go to the winner, and the winner gets to teach them everything that matters. And there is no middle ground.  
 
Only one side will win, just as only one side in every society ends up winning. And that side gets to decide for their society what values will be encouraged, promoted, and taught to their children, and what ideas will be discouraged.  
 
The only significance of this incident with Justice Alito is that the left is waging a war against one of the three constitutional branches of government — the Supreme Court. The left has proven, once again, that they are the ones at war with our Constitution and our liberty.
 
Here’s the irony: What this reporter did in her attack on the Supreme Court is actually proof of what Alito said. The Supreme Court is protecting our constitutional liberties, and leftists like her can’t tolerate that. So, they’re trying to destroy the court because they know one side is going to win, and they are determined to win it by any means necessary.
 
Again, from what I have read, Alito said nothing that you wouldn’t expect him to say. But it will set off another round of demands that he recuse himself from religious liberty cases, and the left will continue to play the “Christian nationalist” card against him.
 
By the way, when this left-wing activist didn’t get what she wanted from Alito, she tried to put words in his mouth. She said, “People in this country who believe in God have got to keep fighting for that — to return our country to a place of godliness.” Alito replied, “I agree with you.” And so do tens of millions of Americans!
 
 
 
Smearing Mrs. Alito
 
I have deep respect for Justice Alito, but his wife is a real fighter!
 
She was also secretly recorded at the dinner. At one point, the left-wing activist feigned concern for all the attacks the Alito family is experiencing, and Mrs. Alito said:
 
“It’s okay. It’s okay. If they come back at me, I’ll get them… You come after me, I’m gonna give it back to you… Psalm 27 is my psalm. Mine. Psalm 27, ‘The Lord is my God and my rock. Of whom shall I be afraid? Nobody.’”
 
Can you get a better example of “Christian nationalism” than that? Is she whispering that in the justice’s ear every night?
 
How many American heroes on the battlefield have read that psalm, “The Lord is my God and my rock. Of whom shall I be afraid?”
 
God help us if the neo-Marxists ever achieve their goal of ensuring there is no one in any position of power in America who believes “crazy nonsense” like that.
 
 
 
Pelosi’s Confession
 
By now, you have probably seen the newly discovered video of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitting responsibility for the lack of security on Capitol Hill on January 6th.
 
As a reminder, Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, is a documentary filmmaker and was following her mother filming everything that day. Why exactly?
 
But as Speaker Pelosi was leaving the Capitol, Alexandra recorded an angry conversation between her mother and her Chief of Staff Terri McCullough over the lack of security. Pelosi said:
 
“We have responsibility, Terri. We did not have any accountability for what was going on there. And we should have. This is ridiculous. You’re going to ask me in the middle of the thing when they’ve already breached … that, should we call the Capitol Police? I mean the National Guard? Why weren’t the National Guard there to begin with?”
 
McCullogh suggested that the Capitol Police believed they had everything under control. But Pelosi answered, “They clearly didn’t know, and I take responsibility for not having them just prepared for more.”
 
It’s great that this video has finally come out. But for the past three years, the left has pushed its propaganda promoting the false narrative that what happened on January 6th was a “Trump-run insurrection.”
 
If Trump wins in November and Republicans take the Senate and expand their majority in the House, maybe there will be some form of justice. I could be wrong, but I don’t see this revelation having any immediate impact.
