Biden Surrenders

The so-called “defenders of democracy” just pulled off a coup.

We all witnessed something truly disturbing this weekend. A sitting president of the United States surrendered his party’s nomination to various henchmen in his own party. The so-called “defenders of democracy” just pulled off a coup. No one voted for Kamala Harris to be the Democrat presidential nominee.

In his letter announcing the decision to end his reelection campaign, Biden wrote, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down.” Democrats and their media allies are heaping praise on Joe Biden for being such a “patriot.” Joe Biden is not a patriot.

A patriot doesn’t open our borders to millions of people, including criminals, gang members, and terrorists. A patriot doesn’t sully America’s reputation by promoting abortion and the LGBTQ agenda overseas. A patriot doesn’t put his party before his country.

Nothing that happened this weekend or in the days leading up to this coup has anything to do with America. It has everything to do with the left’s fear of losing power.

If this was about putting America first, they would be saying that Biden is obviously too old to run and, therefore, he is too old and feeble to have his finger on the nuclear button. So, he should resign from office. But that’s not what they are saying.

They kept Biden around as long as he was a useful puppet. But once he became a liability, a drag on the whole Democrat ticket, and a threat to their power, they threw him under the bus.

And where is Joe Biden anyway? Why haven’t we seen him? Maybe that will change today. But as of now, in one of the most dramatic moments of his 50-year political career (in which he became a multimillionaire), he’s nowhere to be seen. Some say we should demand “proof of life.”

The Chicago Coronation Begins

After the news broke that Biden was dropping out, Kamala Harris immediately made it clear that she was running to replace him. Her quick start to shut out any competitors appears to be paying off.

So far, more than 160 House Democrats have endorsed Harris. Thirty-six Senate Democrats have endorsed Harris, as have 16 Democrat governors. And more than 500 DNC delegates have also publicly endorsed Harris.

Again, no one voted for Harris in the primaries. But it looks like Democrat Party bosses are going to coronate Harris in Chicago next month.

When Harris Was The Problem

Not long ago, many Democrats and pundits were openly worried that Harris was a drag on the ticket. Just consider this excerpt from The Atlantic:

“Ease and confidence have not been the prevailing themes of Harris’s vice presidency. Her first year on the job was defined by rhetorical blunders, staff turnover, political missteps, and a poor sense among even her allies of what, exactly, constituted her portfolio. Within months of taking office, President Joe Biden was forced to confront a public perception that Harris didn’t measure up.”

Indeed, the White House was even forced to issue a statement defending the vice president. She clearly failed as “Border Czar” and only appeared to be good at one thing: making word salads.

At one point, concerns were so great that there was even talk about putting Harris on the Supreme Court just to get her out of the White House. And there were even calls for Biden to dump Harris off the 2024 ticket.

Don’t forget that Harris did so poorly in the 2020 primary campaign that she dropped out before a single vote was cast. No one voted for her in the 2020 primaries, and no one voted for her in the 2024 primaries.

Random Observations

  • There are 105 days until the election. Donald Trump and J.D. Vance have no idea who they are running against. Does that seem normal? Does that sound like a legitimate process?
  • The left says it’s no big deal that Trump only lost the top of his right ear. It’s just like Biden getting COVID. Nice try. A couple of centimeters to the right, and the bullet would have taken off his head. That is how serious this is.
  • Think about how close we were to a sniper taking out Donald Trump due to the ineptness of the Secret Service while powerful billionaires and their allies took down the sitting president of the United States. Is there any period in American history where both party nominees almost got destroyed in the same week?
  • It is totally legitimate for millions of Americans to believe that there is a cabal of globalists and Deep State operatives embedded in key law enforcement agencies who are attempting to run the country. They are scared to death of Donald Trump and what he represents.
  • The whole nation has been lied to for years. There was a concerted campaign to deceive and gaslight us regarding Joe Biden’s health. Any evidence to the contrary was dismissed as “cheap fakes.” Hopefully, the American people will realize it and refuse to reward the people who orchestrated this conspiracy.
  • When the House GOP held a series of votes over who should lead them, the word “chaos” was used hundreds of times a day by every media outlet, including Fox News. But no one is describing what is happening now in the Democrat Party as “chaos,” although it clearly is. No one is questioning the ability of Democrats to govern, even though they just dumped their own president.
  • The bottom line is that this election is about policies, not personalities. Kamala Harris shares the blame for Biden’s disastrous policies, and, if anything, she is even more extreme than he is. (Here, here, and here.)
  • And for a bit of humor in all this, am I the only one to notice that the day Joe Biden announced he would not run was National Ice Cream Day? Did they threaten to withhold ice cream from him unless he dropped out?

Cheatle Speaks, Says Nothing

As serious questions are being raised about how Joe Biden was forced out of the presidential race, there are more and more questions about what exactly happened in the field in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) said that the first law enforcement officers who went up onto the roof were instructed to take pictures and send them to someone at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF). Sen. Johnson’s office contacted the agent, who confirmed he worked at the ATF, but he has since “gone dark.” What does the ATF have to do with this?

We know the shooter flew a drone over the rally site hours before the event began. It sounds like he did more “prep work” than the Secret Service.

Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the Secret Service, was on Capitol Hill yesterday, testifying about her agency’s failures at the Pennsylvania Trump rally. Unfortunately, she said as little as possible and almost nothing of significance.

There was bipartisan criticism of Cheatle, as it should be. No American should want an inept Secret Service that puts every president and presidential candidate in jeopardy. At least two Democrats demanded Cheatle’s resignation.

And Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) expressed the frustrations of her colleagues and the American people. After asking a series of questions and getting evasive answers in response, Mace lost her patience and told Cheatle, “You’re full of s— today. You’re just being completely dishonest.”
