Kamala Harris had a very bad week last week. Instead of promoting her vision of the future, she reminded the American people about the lowest point of the Biden/Harris administration — their catastrophic retreat from Afghanistan.
 
Harris has bragged about her role in the decision-making process that led to the brutal murder of 13 brave Americans and the grievous wounding of dozens more at the Kabul airport’s Abbey Gate.
 
The third anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing was last week. The Gold Star families of these slaughtered Americans invited Donald Trump to Arlington National Cemetery to mark the somber anniversary. Biden was on vacation. Harris was on the campaign trail.
 
But when the powerful images of Donald Trump at the wreath-laying ceremony went viral, Harris attacked Trump for politicizing the cemetery. Trump was there honoring the cemetery and the honored dead in it at the invitation of the grieving parents who lost their children because of Harris’s failure, and they made sure everyone understood that.
 
Various Gold Star families released videos blasting Harris for “playing politics” with the ceremony. They slammed her statement as “heinous, vile, and disgusting.”
 
Kelly Barnett, who lost her son, Taylor, defended Donald Trump, saying he has “been there for us. He has been our rock. He has been there for us to give us a little bit of peace and carry that grief for a little while. That’s what he did.”
 
Picking a fight with these Gold Star parents is the biggest mistake so far of her campaign. Kamala Harris has still not said, in her own voice, the names of even one of the 13 men and women who were killed at Abbey Gate. Three years have passed. She won’t say their names. No wonder these families are angry!
 
 
 
Negotiating With Murderers
 
Right after Harris’s disastrous week fighting with Gold Star families, she and Joe Biden found themselves confronted with the blood of another dead American. This time, it was an American-Israeli hostage held by Hamas, Hersh Goldberg-Polin.
 
He was summarily executed along with five other hostages by the evil murderers of Hamas as Israeli forces were closing in to rescue them. But what happened in the aftermath is mind-blowing.
 
Joe Biden returned to Washington after 14 days of vacation and promptly told reporters on the White House lawn that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not doing enough to get the hostages out. Then Biden and Harris went to the Situation Room for a briefing on the status of the negotiations we are conducting with the Palestinians/Hamas.
 
Negotiations? The negotiations should be over! We are negotiating with people who just executed an American in cold blood and continue to hold more Americans hostage.
 
But it gets even worse. Hamas recorded the executions and released a video mocking the families of the hostages, threatening to release more videos of their “last messages.”
 
Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinian Americans, voters that Kamala Harris desperately needs on Election Day, filled the streets of New York City. While carrying Hamas and Palestinian flags, they blamed Israel for the executions of the prisoners.
 
For weeks, these demonstrators and their obscene support for radical Palestinian Islamists have been mildly criticized by Biden and Harris. Every time they quickly follow their mild criticism with, “But we understand their passion.” There shouldn’t be any “but.”
 
There is no moral equivalence between the free, democratic state of Israel and the death-worshippers of Hamas and its allies.
 
By the way, allies of Kamala Harris indicate that she has “expressed openness” to taking America’s relationship with Israel in a “new direction.” Translation: Harris will end America’s alliance with Israel.
 
 
 
America Last
 
The Democrats’ dangerous open border policies are putting America last in more ways than one. The Biden/Harris migrant crime wave is getting Americans assaulted, robbed, raped, and murdered. Here are the latest examples of this insanity. 

• A vicious Venezuelan gang has taken over an apartment building in Aurora, Colorado, terrorizing the residents. 

• Two groups of illegal aliens in southern California attempted to board school buses. The school district has informed parents that school buses will now drive past stops if migrants are nearby. Our children are being put in danger! 

• New York City officials opened up a shelter for hundreds of illegal alien men very close to an elementary school. No one in the community or at the school was informed. Housing for illegal aliens comes before the safety of our children. 

• This illegal alien invasion is threatening our safety. The leftist media constantly tells us that there is no connection between illegal immigration and crime. That not only defies common sense, it defies reality. Law enforcement sources are saying that 75% of the arrests in Manhattan involve illegal aliens. 

• An illegal alien driving a semi in Conifer, Colorado, caused an accident that killed Scott Miller. The alien, who has been deported 16 times, was sentenced to one year in jail for misdemeanor charges. Deann, Scott’s wife, said she is furious that the illegal alien is only getting one year “for murdering my husband.” She’s right to be angry. Open borders killed her husband!

Meanwhile, a new report finds that illegal aliens cost us $150 billion last year. Every American should be disgusted by this totally unnecessary burden on taxpayers!
 
The total cost of Donald Trump’s border wall was estimated to be around $20 billion. Democrats said that was “too much,” but then they voted for trillions of new spending for more big government.
 
The cost of their “compassion” is much greater and is measured in more than just dollars. It is measured in the needless pain and suffering of the American people. But Democrats don’t care. Illegal aliens come first ahead of you and your family.
 
Like the Gold Star families who have been ignored by the Biden/Harris administration, Angel families of those killed by illegal aliens are also speaking out about how they have been ignored by the Biden/Harris administration.
 
The family of Rachel Morin, who was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal alien from El Salvador, released a statement last week blasting Biden and Harris, saying:
 
“The Morin family is deeply disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment and compassion from President Biden and his administration… The silence is deafening, and it sends a troubling message that the safety and well-being of American citizens are not a priority.
 
"This lack of concern serves as a reminder of the apparent disregard by the Biden administration for the victims of preventable crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Like many others, the Morin family deserves recognition and action from their leaders to prevent such tragedies from happening again.”
 
 
 
Remembering Reagan
 
It’s not often that movies about politicians attract rave reviews. But the new movie “Reagan,” starring Dennis Quaid, is getting blockbuster ratings from audiences and exceeded expectations at the box office, bringing in more than $9 million over the holiday weekend.
 
Having worked for Ronald Reagan for all eight years of his presidency, I’ve been waiting for a good movie about him to come out. “Reagan” is it. I was relieved to know that the lead actors were intent on making a serious movie, not a “Saturday Night Live skit.” Everyone I know who has seen it loved it.
