Trump Must Do These 3 Things to Win
Put simply, complaining that the game is unfair won’t stop us from losing.
After what feels like a four-year-long election cycle that kicked off on Jan. 21, 2021, we’re finally on the edge of the presidential election in November. In just a few short weeks, we’ll know whether Vice President Kamala Harris will become president of the United States, or if Donald Trump will become the first president since Grover Cleveland in 1893 to captain a successful comeback campaign and retake the White House to serve a nonconsecutive term in office.
Based on national and swing-state polling data, this election is a coin-flip, which is a testament to two fundamental pillars of this election. The first pillar is the sheer weight of the media’s propaganda that has spearheaded the effort to reinvent Kamala Harris from head-to-toe, dragging her approval ratings upward faster than the price of eggs. The second pillar is the unwavering unpopularity of Donald Trump, whose favorability ratings have never threatened to cross the 50% mark.
Obviously, the media remains a huge driving force behind Trump’s unpopularity, including their years-long effort to portray Trump and anyone who dares to vote for him as a combination of Adolf Hitler and Darth Vader. But as I have explained before, simply pointing out the shameless bias of the media and their impact on public perception of Trump won’t change the outcome of November’s election.
Put simply, complaining that the game is unfair won’t stop us from losing.
With that in mind, in order to beat the odds and defeat Kamala Harris on Nov. 5, 2024, Trump needs to achieve three things.
The first hinges on the fact that he is fighting a two-front war against both the Democratic Party regime and the mainstream media, of which the most important battle is over their most powerful lie: the absurd idea that Kamala Harris is not the current vice president of the United States. Donald Trump needs to constantly remind voters that Kamala Harris is in office right now. She’s the incumbent! At this very second, with Joe Biden lying in the vegetable rack in the White House refrigerator, she could enact any of the promises she’s dangling in front of voters today. Not only that, she is to blame for the problems she wants to solve! The broken economy she wants to fix? She broke it. The open border she wants to close? She opened it. The division she wants to heal? She tore it apart.
The second relates to the single most important issue for voters: the economy. While politicians love to cherry-pick issues based on their audience or based on their impression of voters, the data we have is utterly conclusive: the economy is the top issue for voters this November. Pew Research Center recently polled registered voters on important issues that would sway their vote, and while only 51% listed abortion, 56% listed gun policy, and 37% listed climate change, a whopping 81% listed the economy. The answer is staring us in the face: Trump’s focus must fall squarely on making this election a choice between his economy and the Biden/Harris economy.
And finally, Trump must also get through to voters and remind them of the only point of comparison that rivals Biden and Harris’ economic disaster: American foreign policy. It is not an accident that Russia invaded Ukraine under Barack Obama and Biden/Harris but not Trump. It is not an accident that Iran became a regional terror-funding superpower under Obama and Biden/Harris but not Trump. It’s not an accident that wars began under Obama and Biden/Harris but not Trump. Trump and his campaign need to convince American voters that while they might not like his personality or his social media posts, it’s a small price to pay when the alternative is four more years of bloody chaos across the world under Harris — a person whose foreign policy expertise amounts to her declaration that Ukraine is a country in Europe.
If Trump achieves these three objectives, he will win the election. If he fails, then American voters (whether they want to or not) will discover that Joe Biden’s ineptitude pales in comparison to Kamala Harris and her personal brand of ignorance, Soviet-style propaganda and stone-cold socialism.
