Stupid & Evil
The idea that this latest assassination attempt at the Washington Hilton was staged defies logic.
Over the past several days, one word has been trending on social media—"staged.“ It’s a reference to the belief that the assassination attempt against President Trump at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner was staged to boost his ratings heading into the November midterm elections.
We know from previous polling that a third of Democrats thought the 2024 Butler, Pennsylvania, assassination attempt was staged. The idea that Trump had fake blood in his hand that he put on his ear when he stood back is just stupid.
Last year, 56% of those who identified as ”left of center“ told pollsters that murdering Donald Trump would be "justified.” And we’re hearing from a lot of these sick people now who are upset that Trump wasn’t killed this past weekend. That’s just evil.
By the way, polling also shows that the more “educated” someone is, the more likely they are to support political violence. That speaks volumes about the state of “higher education” in America today. Universities are not institutions of higher learning; they are indoctrination camps, churning out leftist ideologues year after year.
The idea that this latest assassination attempt at the Washington Hilton was staged defies logic. How could you stage something like that and leave the assassin alive?
Cole Allen will be put on trial. He could testify in court. His family called the police to report receiving his deranged manifesto filled with anti-Trump hatred.
Speaking of Allen’s manifesto, when you read it, one thing jumps out at you: He’s not spouting Marxist rhetoric about “revolution” or accusing Trump of “oppressing the working class.” There are no incoherent ramblings about bizarre conspiracy theories.
By and large, he’s regurgitating Democrat talking points and the left-wing media’s anti-Trump narratives. That’s what motivated him to try to kill President Trump.

You Must Fight
I know there are good people who don’t want to hear this, but I’m going to say it again: The hope that we’re going to “come together” is a vain hope. It is an unattainable goal. (See next item.) Many of the divisions in America today on the most fundamental issues are irreconcilable, and only one side will ultimately prevail.
There is a growing Marxist-Muslim alliance in America. It wants government to control everything. It wants religious liberty restricted.
It wants more babies to be aborted and more children brainwashed with LGBTQ propaganda and “transitioned” into another gender, which is impossible and insane. It believes America is an evil nation that must be “fundamentally transformed.”
If it gains power, it will rule with an iron fist.
We believe all life is sacred and made in the image of God. We believe our liberty comes from God. We want our children to be protected, not molested and mutilated. We believe America is a fundamentally good and decent nation that should be defended.
If we win, we will still tolerate the Left. But leftists have demonstrated time and time again that they have no tolerance for the values of Christians and conservatives.
Christians cannot be neutral in the culture war just for the sake of “peace.” Appeasement always fails. You may not like politics, but you’re not just making a decision for yourself. You’re deciding the kind of country your children and grandchildren will inherit.
And if you sit on the sidelines in this great battle for the heart and soul of America, you’re leaving them to the tender mercies of people who applaud when somebody tries to kill the president of the United States.
Hateful Hakeem
House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries had an opportunity Monday to rise above the petty partisanship and bitterness that defines the Left. He was asked to reflect on the criticism over his call last week for “maximum warfare, everywhere, all the time” against Republicans in the wake of the attempt on the president’s life.
Instead of backing down from his hyperbolic rhetoric, Jeffries doubled down. He angrily shot back, saying:
“The notion that any of us are concerned with so-called ‘criticism’ from these phony Republicans as it relates to anything that has been said, certainly as it relates to the comment related to maximum warfare everywhere all the time… I stand by it. You can continue to criticize me for it. I don’t give a damn about your criticism.”
Christian Leaders React
Several Christian leaders issued public statements reacting to the unprecedented third assassination attempt against President Trump. Reverend Franklin Graham, who was at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, wrote, “After three assassination attempts, some people say that President Trump is one lucky man. I don’t think luck has anything to do with it—I believe it is the hand of God.”
Pastors Jack Graham and Robert Jeffress, two friends who serve with me on the president’s National Faith Advisory Board, also made important statements. Noting that Ronald Reagan believed God saved his life from an assassin’s bullet in 1981 to take on the threat of Soviet communism and nuclear war, Jeffress told Fox News:
“I think the fact that the president was spared a third time from an assassin’s bullet is a sign that God is not through with Donald Trump yet. He’s got a great purpose… President Trump believes God has a purpose for him, and it’s a purpose of God that will not be thwarted… I think it’s that knowledge that has made Donald Trump, without doubt, the most courageous president in history.”
Pastor Jack Graham wrote:
“As we gather in our churches today, let us pray for our president and our nation. Pray for revival in the church and spiritual awakening in the country… This is a spiritual war and Satan is on the move. May God give us mercy and grace and courage to stand for righteousness.”
Redistricting Wars
The Virginia Supreme Court heard oral arguments Monday in a case challenging the constitutionality of last week’s election that narrowly approved the creation of a radical new congressional map.
Currently, Virginia’s 11 House seats are split 6-to-5 with Democrats holding the majority. That split perfectly reflects the results of the 2024 presidential election. But the new map would give Democrats a 10-to-1 supermajority, which in no way reflects the political reality in the state. Virginia is not California—yet.
While most of the justices remained silent during Monday’s arguments, those who did ask questions appeared critical of the attorney representing the Democrat Party.
In related and potentially hopeful news, the Virginia Supreme Court denied the Democrats’ request to lift an injunction blocking the certification of last week’s vote.
Meanwhile, Gov. Ron DeSantis just released a new congressional map that the Florida legislature will take up in a special session this week. DeSantis said the new map is justified given the massive influx of new residents to the Sunshine State and massive political shifts in recent years. If approved, the new map could give Republicans four more House seats.
Utah is also seeing its share of redistricting action. Court-ordered redistricting created a new House seat for Democrats based in Salt Lake City. Over the weekend, the Utah Democrat Party held its annual convention and formally endorsed political newcomer Liban Mohamed for the new seat.
Mohamed, 27, is the son of Somali immigrants. He has also been endorsed by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Little Mogadishu), who really needs to learn some history.
Utah’s growing Somali community stuck together. Mohamed bragged that his campaign signed up dozens of “refugees” to be delegates to the party convention. They know that even if they are a minority, they can win if they stick together. And if he wins the June primary, there will be another Marxist Muslim in Congress.
Mark my words—within five to seven years there will be a “Muslim Caucus” in the U.S. Congress. We will see stories in the news that major legislation is being held up because the “Muslim Caucus” is demanding an end to U.S. support for Israel.
Stop Mainstreaming Political Violence
Once again, America has been forced by events to ponder what beast is prowling the land. We just witnessed the third assassination attempt on President Trump. An attempted assassination of a president is an attack on America itself.
