Kudos to Missouri Senator Josh Hawley!

He announced yesterday that he will formally challenge the Electoral College results when Congress meets on January 6. He declared:

“Following both the 2004 and 2016 elections, Democrats in Congress objected during the certification of electoral votes in order to raise concerns about election integrity… And they were entitled to do so. But now those of us concerned about the integrity of this election are entitled to do the same.

"I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on January 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws… At the very least, Congress should investigate allegations of voter fraud and adopt measures to secure the integrity of our elections.”

I agree completely!

While a number of courageous conservatives in the House have stepped forward to object to Electoral College count, Hawley is the first Republican senator to do so, even as the Senate leadership has tried to squelch such efforts.

This is not the first time Hawley has stood up against the GOP establishment. He has taken strong stands for pro-life judges, and he recently led the fight in the Senate for larger stimulus checks for struggling families, workers, and small business owners.

I hope his courage is contagious! The Senate could use an outbreak of bravery! I am contacting many of our allies in the Senate and asking why they aren’t joining Hawley.

China Lied & People Died

One year ago yesterday, Dr. Li Wenliang, a 33-year-old ophthalmologist in Wuhan, began warning colleagues that people were showing up with a strange respiratory illness that seemed to be spreading rapidly. Chinese police arrested him and punished him for posting “false information.”

Of course, Dr. Li was telling the truth. Sadly, he contracted the disease and died on February 7. He has become an underground hero in China for speaking up.

Just before Dr. Li died, all the globalists were meeting at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. They were predicting a great 2020. Of course, we know what actually happened. COVID.

Communist China lied through its teeth. It immediately began censoring information about the virus and lied to the world about the threat of human-to-human transmission. And while it was lying to the world, the communist regime attempted to corner the market on vital medical supplies.

Adding insult to injury, the corrupt communists sold defective medical equipment to other nations and even forced some countries to buy back the supplies they had previously donated to China.

And yet there are still political figures like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Eric Swalwell who are willing to “get into bed” with the communist Chinese if that’s what they have to do to hurt Donald Trump and Mike Pence.

Why the Delay?

Proving that no good deed goes unpunished, the Trump administration is now taking flak for delays in the distribution of the COVID vaccines. Let me remind you that these are the vaccines that many politicians and journalists insisted would never be ready by now. Well, they are ready.

The Trump administration has been sending vaccine shipments to the states for distribution. But according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, less than 20% of the distributed vaccine has actually been administered to patients. Yet according to the fake news media, somehow this is Donald Trump’s fault.

Part of the explanation for the significant difference between the number of vaccine doses distributed and administrated is due to reporting delays. Obviously, federal authorities do not administer the shots. Local health bureaucracies do it. And they are not always reporting in a timely fashion.

But given everything that we’ve seen this year, is it possible that Democrat states like California, Illinois, and Michigan are slow-walking the administration of the vaccine to promote the left’s narrative of Trump’s incompetence? Will they miraculously speed up vaccinations after the inauguration so that Biden gets the credit?

I hate to be so cynical, but that seems like a plausible explanation to me.

Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany responded to the criticism, saying:

“President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed has developed safe and effective vaccines 5 times faster than any similar effort in history, and he has already made the vaccines free for all Americans. Nearly 20 million first doses have been allocated to states for immediate delivery and administration at their direction…

"The President has used the Defense Production Act 18 times in connection with Operation Warp Speed and will continue to employ it wherever possible to accelerate vaccine manufacturing and save lives.”

The Left’s Assault on America

When Congress debated this year’s National Defense Authorization Act, one of the left’s major priorities was renaming military bases named after Confederate officers. Every reporter mentions this when they discuss the president’s veto of the bill, even though he had other reasons for the veto.

But what’s so interesting about this is that the president who led the Union in the Civil War and liberated the slaves has been repeatedly attacked by leftists in recent days. And I’ve not heard one word of condemnation from Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, or anyone in the media.

When mobs threatened the Emancipation Memorial in Washington, DC, Donald Trump ordered law enforcement to protect it. But in Democrat-run Boston, a replica of that statue, which has stood in Boston since 1879, was taken down this week because the mayor claimed it made people “uncomfortable.”

A statue is a work of art. And I remember when we were told that a cross submerged in a vat of urine, which made Christians more than uncomfortable, was art that was intended to take us out of our comfort zones.

Meanwhile, in the liberal bastion of San Francisco, a statue of Lincoln was vandalized and a high school named after the Great Emancipator is being stripped of that great name.

Will any of the so-called “moderates” in the Democrat Party, the party of slavery, segregation, and Jim Crow, stand up and express one word against the left’s assault on Abraham Lincoln?

Joe Biden says he wants to unite the country. Why isn’t he speaking out against the extreme left-wing revolutionaries who have declared war on America and our heroes?

The reason he and other Democrats don’t speak out is that they don’t care. They are too busy labeling pro-life activists as “Nazis” to fight the real fascists on the left who are tearing down our history!
