Blinken’s Deception
Biden’s secretary of state insisted the Afghanistan withdrawal was an extraordinary success.
Do you remember the extraordinary success the Biden Administration had in withdrawing from Afghanistan? Of course, you don’t. The whole world saw what a total disaster it was.
Yet Joe Biden’s Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, went to Capitol Hill this week and shocked Democrats and Republicans when he insisted the withdrawal was an extraordinary success. Once Blinken stopped spouting Biden’s propaganda, he was forced to confess a few details about this so-called “success.”
For example, there have been reports that some Afghan men we rescued have arrived in the U.S. traveling with young girls. When asked, these men said that the little girls were their wives.
Blinken confirmed the reports, and admitted that we don’t know how many little girls have been sexually abused by their Sharia law husbands.
Blinken also confirmed that we gave the Taliban lists of Americans and Afghans who helped us. So, it’s a safe bet that the Taliban is now hunting down some unknown number of Americans and Afghan allies Biden left behind.
And there is the ongoing American tragedy. A widow gave birth Tuesday to a baby girl. Her father was Marine Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, one of the 13 U.S. heroes killed in the Kabul retreat. He died because of evil men in Afghanistan and because of the stupid men running America.
All of this is bad enough. But it doesn’t even address the fact that while we left American citizens behind, we brought into the country approximately 100,000 largely unvetted Afghans. Research suggests that many of them likely harbor anti-Christian and anti-Semitic views, and reject religious liberty and other Western values.
Milley’s Treason
According to veteran Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, General Mark “Thoroughly Modern” Milley staged an insurrection of his own at the Pentagon in the final weeks of the Trump presidency.
In a new book set to be released next week, Woodward and Costa claim that Milley engaged in a series of actions deliberately designed to undermine and circumvent President Trump’s authority as commander-in-chief.
They allege that Milley called his communist Chinese counterpart, General Li Zuocheng, in late October to assure him that the United States wasn’t planning an attack. Milley’s call was supposedly based on intelligence that Beijing interpreted a scheduled naval exercise as a preemptive strike. So, Milley called Li and told him:
“We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations against you. General Li, you and I have known each other now for five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time. It’s not going to be a surprise.”
Really? Warning our enemies in advance is now U.S. policy?
Woodward and Costa also report that Milley agreed with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s demand to prevent President Trump from exercising full control of America’s nuclear arsenal. Milley reportedly made senior Pentagon officers swear an “oath” to him.
Responding to these allegations, Sen. Marco Rubio, the ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee, sent a letter to President Biden demanding Milley be fired immediately. Sen. Rand Paul called for Milley to be court-martialed for treason.
Christopher Miller, Trump’s last secretary of defense, said he did not authorize such calls by Milley, and described them as a “disgraceful and unprecedented act of insubordination.”
Regardless of what one thinks of Donald Trump, Milley’s actions severely undermined the Constitution and the civilian chain of command.
But it seems that Milley’s position is safe. The Pentagon is defending him, and, not surprisingly, so is President Biden.
Targeting Trump
Of course, the real target of the Woodward/Costa book is Donald Trump. The Deep State establishment is scared to death that Trump will run again and win. So, this is just another preemptive strike, returning to the theme that Trump is unstable and unhinged.
Throughout Trump’s presidency, a slew of retired military and intelligence officials attacked him for one reason or another. We were told over and over again that Trump was going to start a war with Iran, North Korea or China, and that he colluded with Russia.
Well, Trump was the first president in decades not to start a war. He achieved historic peace deals between Israel and several Arab nations. And the Russia collusion story was a hoax created by the Clinton campaign, the DNC and their Deep State allies.
Here’s the irony: With Milley’s assistance, Biden just implemented an Afghan withdrawal so poorly executed, it emboldened our enemies and demoralized our allies and, thus, made the world a more dangerous place.
Fudging The Figures
There has been growing suspicion for months now regarding the true figures behind COVID hospitalizations. Back in May a Stanford study looked at hospitalizations among children and concluded that the numbers were significantly skewed.
Dr. Marty Makary of Johns Hopkins University has also looked into these statistics and expressed his frustration with the fact that the CDC “doesn’t distinguish … whether a child is hospitalized for Covid or with Covid.”
Well, now we have a new study indicating that nearly half of all hospitalizations categorized as “COVID” were either mild cases or totally unrelated to COVID.
Once again, it seems that virtually everything about the pandemic is being hyped to create panic. Why? Because the left never lets a crisis go to waste. It was used to justify massive changes to state voting laws and the massive expansion of government.
A frightened population is more likely to surrender its liberties.
Recall Results
With 70% of the vote counted, the California recall election looks like a blowout for the left. Of course, that’s disappointing. Gavin Newsom’s shutdown policies and his rank hypocrisy offended a lot of people. That’s why many Democrats and Independents signed the recall petitions.
But the left succeeded in reframing the recall. Rather than a referendum on Newsom, they spent at least $70 million to make the election about Donald Trump and Larry Elder, who was slandered by left-wing media outlets as the “black face of white supremacy.” Go figure.
Unfortunately, the distraction and demonization strategy worked. It’s the same strategy Democrats are using in Virginia’s off-year elections now, and we can expect to see it a lot in 2022 because Democrats can’t campaign on the issues.
Many states around the country are resisting the far-left agenda, fighting against open borders, abortion on demand, critical race theory in schools, vaccine mandates, etc. But there are some states, with California being the prime example, where many people believe in the left-wing agenda, and apparently want more of it.
This brings us back to the deep divide that exists in America today — not over one thing, but a dozen things. And virtually every one involves fundamental ideas that do not lend themselves to compromise.
This doesn’t bode well for the future. But no matter what that future brings, I will keep fighting to ensure our values prevail in this narrowly divided country.
