In the Wake of the Verdict
Wisconsinites should be asking themselves why their governor is so fixated on ruining the life of a teenager who has been acquitted.
I venture that most Americans took heart from the fact that 12 jurors had the guts and decency to do the right thing by Kyle Rittenhouse.
The exceptions to those of us who gained renewed confidence in the legal system included Joe Biden, who, after paying perfunctory lip service to American juries, called the verdict “a tragedy.” Lest we didn’t get the message, he added, “The verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans angry and concerned, myself included.”
He was quickly joined by the likes of MSNBC’s most virulent racist Joy Reid; New York’s new governor, Kathy Hochul; Rep. Gerald Nadler; Gov. Gavin Newsom; Rep. Val Demings; and Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin.
Baldwin was perhaps the worst of the lot because she didn’t only insult the jury’s verdict, she lied about the facts, saying: “Here are the facts that are important to me. Kyle Rittenhouse, who was a minor at the time, traveled from Illinois to Wisconsin, and picked up an assault rifle that was illegally purchased for him. He took the law into his own hands, killing two people and injuring another. They were victims of gun violence and too many families have lost loved ones to these tragedies. I understand why people believe that justice was not served in this case, because I feel the same way. This ruling makes clear we have so much work to do to take on gun violence, and reform our broken criminal justice system so that it starts working equally and fairly for everyone.”
She goes on in a similar vein, taking Judge Bruce Schroeder to task and referring to Rittenhouse’s “assault weapon.”
For openers, a rifle is a rifle, no matter how many times the hypocrites toss around the inflammatory “assault.”
As for the questionable facts, there was nothing illegal about the purchase of the teenager’s rifle. He did not take the law into his own hands; because Gov. Baldwin and Mayor Evers had not allowed the cops or the Wisconsin National Guard to deal with the mob, there was no law to speak of in Kenosha, except the law of the jungle. And if Kyle hadn’t been armed, he would now be dead and two felons, one a child rapist, would be alive and unpunished.
My fear is that with the president, senators and House members complaining about the verdict, it is highly likely that Kristen Clark, the black director of the Civil Rights division of the Justice Department, will indict Rittenhouse for denying Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz their civil rights by preventing them from killing him.
Wisconsinites should be asking themselves why their governor is so fixated on ruining the life of a teenager who has been acquitted by a Wisconsin jury when he has shown absolutely no interest in arresting and prosecuting the rabble who burned down Kenosha a year ago.
There are others who are coming out of recent events reeking of hypocrisy and corruption. They include V.P. Kamala Harris, who came out of seclusion long enough to say “This verdict proves that our justice system isn’t equitable”; ABC News that reported it was the killing of Jacob Blake that sparked the Kenosha riots in spite of the fact that Blake was shot while wielding a knife, but not fatally; and Tom Binger’s co-prosecutor, James Kraus, who said during his summation to the jury that Rittenhouse shouldn’t have defended himself because “Everybody takes a beating sometimes.”
It’s fortunate that Kraus is so philosophical about it because he and his partner in crime, Binger, received a beating in the Kenosha courthouse and the entire world got to watch.
To give you some idea of how perverted our media is, in England, Brazil and a few other countries, where their media were getting their information from ours, they were reporting that Rittenhouse’s three victims were all black men.
It’s a natural enough mistake since even Joe Biden kept calling the kid a white supremacist.
As usual, the Leftists are up in arms over Rittenhouse’s rifle, but you hear nary a word about the guns in the hands of the rioters. If anyone involved in the Kenosha riots was a white supremacist, that would be Joe Rosenbaum, guilty of having raped five boys ages 9-11, who was screaming about “ni**ers” as he pursued Rittenhouse through the streets threatening to kill him.
Because Biden has made it so difficult for members of the military to receive religious exemptions from his vaccine mandates, a great many soldiers, sailors and Marines, are facing being dishonorably discharged or even being tossed in the brig or the stockade for refusing to obey an order. Even one that is unconstitutional.
But nobody who has been paying attention should be too surprised that Biden has chosen to ignore basic religious rights. After all, this arrogant galoot is so irreligious that there are a large number of American bishops who have called for his being denied communion because of his enthusiastic support of the abomination known as abortion.
It seems that Africa has the lowest rate of Covid cases in the world even though only 6% of the population has been vaccinated even once.
The explanation appears to be two-fold. One, the median age on the continent is 18, which is roughly half of what it is in North America and 24 years younger than in Europe.
Two, Africa has the least obese people on the planet.
So, if you want to avoid coming down with the Chinese virus, forget the vaccinations and the endless boosters. Instead, early death and/or a starvation diet would seem to provide the best defense against the dreaded disease.
After I mentioned that I was at a loss when it came to why so many more people subscribe to my articles than buy my delightful books, Maralyn Polak ventured the following theory: “I think in the era of the internet, books are viewed as an impediment. For instance, there is a de-clutter nitwit named Marie Kondo, who is a proponent of keeping only those things that bring you joy. She suggests a person have no more than three books. That’s as anti-intellectual as anything I’ve ever heard. So, sadly, books are no longer revered as the badge of intellectual accomplishment they once represented. They are now dismissed as a tedious obligation. They are long form with a read taking several hours; people prefer to spend the time playing videogames. My theory, for better or worse.”
I replied that I doubted if my subscribers, most of whom are collecting Social Security, were spending their golden years playing League of Legends, Assassin’s Creed and Grand Theft Auto, but I granted that it was at least a viable theory and better than anything I had come up with. Still, I concluded, “Some of these people must be among those buying the books churned out on a weekly basis by the talking heads on Fox.”
It occurred to me the other day that one of the saddest facts in human history — aside from the fact that so few of you buy my books — is that Anne Frank didn’t survive World War II and that George Soros did.
