We recently warned that the Biden/Harris humanitarian and national security crisis at our southern border was about to get a whole lot worse. Well, it’s much worse than I imagined.

The White House announced that it is going to end enforcement of Title 42 on May 23rd. Title 42 is an emergency public health order invoked during the pandemic to seal the border. It allows the government to expedite deportations of illegal aliens caught crossing the southern border.

The Trump Administration made very effective use of Title 42 in 2020. Yet, even with Title 42 still in place, Biden allowed a record number of illegal aliens to cross into the country last year.

So, just imagine what is about to happen later this summer when Biden ends Title 42 enforcement!

According to CBS News, the Biden Administration is making plans to handle as many as 12,000 to 18,000 illegal aliens crossing our southern border EVERY DAY.

That’s potentially 540,000 illegal aliens crossing our southern border EVERY MONTH!

That’s more than SIX MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS A YEAR!

No nation, even in the best of economic times, could possibly absorb that level of mass migration! And no one can possibly misinterpret what’s going on. This is a deliberate effort to fundamentally transform the population of the United States to benefit the political left.

It not only provides Democrats with new voters if they can force through a new amnesty, it also provides them with a massive new constituency for big government programs.

It means we inevitably stop being an English-speaking country and become a multi-lingual nation, subject to all the influences of Balkanization and tribalism.

In short, it is an unmitigated disaster meant to unravel the United States of America.

It is beyond obvious that the federal government is refusing to enforce our immigration laws at the border. Republicans should be demanding that President Biden, “Border Czar” Harris and Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas be impeached!

In the meantime, border states must take action. They must surge whatever law enforcement resources they have to the border now!

Biden’s Energy Crisis

The White House announced yesterday that it is releasing one million barrels of oil a day for the next six months from the strategic petroleum reserve. Biden knows that your growing pain at the pump is going to be a huge pain for his party at the ballot box this November.

Yesterday’s move may help to lower gas prices somewhat in the short-term, and it clearly recognizes the need/demand for oil. The problem is that Biden has been strangling supply by waging war against the American energy industry since Day One of his administration when he killed the Keystone XL pipeline. Way to go, Joe!

But there’s another problem that highlights how poorly the left understands fundamental economics. This huge release of oil actually decreases drilling/supply.

When an oil company spends money to sink a well, it is making a bet that they can make a profit when that oil hits the market months down the road.

But by artificially manipulating the market, Biden is making it harder for drillers to project what their profits, if any, might be. In other words, the private drillers are competing against the government’s reserve releases.

So, there’s little incentive for energy companies to try to produce more now. They’d be better off waiting until the excess government oil is off the market in six months.

Commentators on the left-leaning financial network CNBC said that while Biden’s massive release of oil from the strategic reserve will help lower gas prices in the short-term, it will make things worse in the long-term.

In making his announcement, Biden said he would protect the country from Vladimir Putin’s price hike. Only 6% of Americans blame Putin for high gas prices. Most blame Biden.

Biden said he would make the country energy independent. We were energy independent under Donald Trump, and it could be again if Biden reverses his anti-energy policies. But he won’t.

His new budget assumes there will be no new drilling leases through 2023, and his left-wing allies are pressuring banks to stop making loans to energy companies.

Biden also said we need to be unified as a nation in the face of this crisis. Well, he just got back from Europe where he attacked half of the country and the previous president on foreign soil.

Faced with a crisis of their own making, Democrats are panicking and their solution is to put the country in greater danger.

How so? Well, the strategic petroleum reserve is meant for national emergencies. It’s not a piggy bank to be raided whenever it is politically expedient to do so. It is a national security resource.

When President Trump tried to ensure the reserve was full, Democrats, trying to “stick it” to the energy industry, stopped him. Now they’re draining it.

The next few years could be a time of great national security danger for the United States. We don’t know what will happen between Russia and Ukraine, or what North Korea, Iran or communist China might do in the next few years.

But Biden is only concerned about the great political danger his party is facing in the next few months.

Biden’s Gender Insanity

President Joe Biden yesterday gave a full-throated endorsement to the radical transgender movement. He directed federal agencies to issue new rules and regulations forcing this extreme agenda throughout the entire government and on every state and community in the country.

For example, the Transportation Security Administration announced that it is streamlining “security checkpoints for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming airline passengers.” I really have no idea what that means or why it would require special changes to the process that the rest of us must endure.

Biden also grossly lied about efforts at the state level to resist this bizarre agenda. He blasted the legislation moving through the states as an attack on transgender children.

As usual, he’s got it exactly backwards. Parents are trying to protect their children from the left’s gender insanity! Here’s the truth about the kinds of bills that are being advanced in the states.

• They protect girls and young women from being forced to compete against and share showers with biological boys and young men.

• They protect children from making permanent decisions that have serious medical risks.

• They prohibit left-wing adults from exposing young children to inappropriate ideas and material. That’s what Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education law is all about. And it is overwhelmingly popular.

A new national poll finds that when voters are told the actual language of the Florida law, 61% support it, including 67% of parents, 58% of Independents and 55% of Democrats!

Disney, their radical allies, Hollywood celebrities and far-left politicians who ignorantly attack Florida’s Parental Rights law are making a huge mistake.

But the president, with his rhetorical lies, is attempting to force your daughter and granddaughter to compete against boys. He’s attempting to force them to share showers and locker rooms with boys.

And he’s attempting to force children as young as six years-old to be indoctrinated with the radical transgender ideology, forcing them to deny reality and biological truth.

Just to be clear: Democrats started this culture war. Since they attacked normalcy, Republicans must not hesitate to engage in the battle.

If they aggressively expose the extremism of the left and fight to protect our children, they could add dozens of seats to their gains in the House and retake the Senate in a landslide!

Advancing The Freedom Agenda

The battle for America’s future is a battle to preserve freedom, and the elections in 2022 and 2024 will be critical contests that determine the direction of our nation. Yesterday, we got a great new tool in this battle.

It’s a strong forward-looking vision that incorporates many of the fundamental principles in the American Values Agenda, which my public policy organization issued several weeks ago.

Policymakers at all levels and in both parties would be wise to seriously study the Freedom Agenda.
