Are Demo Voters as Crazy as Their Party Leaders?

Turns out, a supermajority of voters support capitalism over socialism.

“The aim of every political constitution is, or ought to be, first to obtain for rulers men who possess most wisdom to discern, and most virtue to pursue, the common good of the society; and in the next place, to take the most effectual precautions for keeping them virtuous whilst they continue to hold their public trust.” —James Madison (1788)

Yes, those clowns who show up at “No Kings” protests (funded by Kings), and those Demo pawns who protest immigration enforcement, are dupes of their crazy socialist Democrat Party protagonists. But what about most Democrat voters?

You could argue that those who vote for crazy Democrats are cut from the same cloth because insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

However, there is increasing evidence that a supermajority of Demos do not support the policies advocated by those Democrats who are now saying out loud what they have always been: socialists. The most noted exception to this rule would be multimillionaire Sen. Bernie Sanders (S-VT), who has always proudly labeled himself a socialist fighter of the oligarchy, as do his bros.

In fact, most Democrats outside of a few major urban centers and some failed/failing Demo-controlled nanny states do not actually support the socialist views of their party’s loudest political advocates.

Our team is highly skeptical about media polls because of what we coined as the “Pollaganda Effect,” the now-long-established Demo/Leftmedia practice of using media polling as political propaganda. Media publicists have now perfected this practice as a highly effective tool for swaying voters.

Whether you watch CNN or Fox News, you will see these polls daily. Basically, they repeatedly tell people what they want them to believe, then poll them on what they were told, and then report the polling as something other than an echo-chamber effect. Unfortunately, most media consumers lack the discernment to realize they are in an echo chamber.

But polling that is outside that media echo chamber is far less subject to the circular propaganda cycle.

Such is the case with a recent Harvard/Harris poll that asked respondents: “What do you think is a better economic system — capitalism or socialism?”

Capitalism came out on top by a wide margin — 59% to 41%.

Turns out that, despite all the socialist chatter by New York’s mayoral neophyte Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and their ilk, most people don’t like socialism.

Not surprising is the fact that, among Democrat respondents, socialism wins by 54% to 46%.

Another question: “Do you think America should be run mostly as a free enterprise country or under socialism?”

When the capitalism vs. socialism question is asked that way, free enterprise (capitalism) won by 76% to 24%. Heck, even Demos gave a nod to free enterprise by a 68% to 32% margin.

Fact is, most voters don’t know what socialism really is.

The poll found that 65% of respondents errantly believed that under socialism, you could own private property like a home — and that number is 78% for Democrats.

Those poor Demo inhabitants of the rotting Big Apple are just waking up to the reality of what they have done, and unfortunately, no amount of buyer’s remorse will allow a do-over until comrade Mamdani has completed his first term.

The poll then asked the question this way: “Do you think people should be able to buy and own their own [houses] or should the state own their houses?” Predictably, 91% said of course they should.

For the record, having spent time in the Soviet Union and other Eastern Bloc countries in the 1980s, before Ronald Reagan forced the Soviet reign of tyranny and terror into collapse, I have a clear and very visceral understanding of oppressive life under statist socialism.

But decades later, hordes of mindless Millennials are embracing socialism. Fortunately, some of them, unlike Mamdani and AOC, will get beyond their state of perpetual adolescence.

As The Wall Street Journal’s James Freeman notes, “For anyone who thought voters were unimpressed with foreign-policy pronouncements from Ocasio-Cortez, wait until they learn what she plans to do to their money.”

After the Harvard/Harris poll results were published, there was another interesting poll of Democrats, affirming that most of them are not terribly fond of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and his sidekick, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries — the loudmouth leftists at the helm of their party.

The second survey was published by the Manhattan Institute, a very reputable think tank.

Manhattan Institute VP Jesse Arm offers this summary:

This study helps clarify a central question confronting the modern Democratic Party: is the median Democratic voter actually moving left — or is the party being pulled left by a smaller activist faction that dominates elite discourse and low-turnout politics? The findings point to a coalition that is often more moderate, more internally divided, and more pragmatic than what is found across left-leaning social media, cable news, and donor-funded groups. More voters favor moving the party toward the ideological center than further left.

Again, here’s the Journal’s Freeman: “This last finding is the most welcome of all. It suggests that by a vast margin, Americans still inhabit a patriotic common ground that honors our traditions and allows us to build a vibrant future.”

Responding to the Manhattan Institute research, California tech entrepreneur Garry Tan, who writes political analysis from the Left Coast, pleads, “Please be normal, Democrats. The Woke Fringe is 11% of the party but 90% of the noise.”

So, the pressing question is, in the seven months ahead of the midterm elections, can Republicans take these and other polling results and build on Donald Trump’s considerable domestic and foreign policy achievements in his first year and in the months since — and rise above his “noise” in order to retain control of the House and Senate? That noise provided the Leftmedia a lot of fuel to divert from Trump’s successes, resulting in a low job approval record.

Recently, healthcare costs edged out the economy as the number one voter concern. The Trump administration attempted to address this issue by dealing with the massive cost increases caused by the so-called “Affordable Care Act,” a.k.a. ObamaCare. That resulted in a Demo government shutdown for 43 days last year.

Trump is now taking on this issue by going after medical fraud.

But elections are won and lost on the economy, and that will be true of the midterms.

Trump and his team must stay focused on the economy, their record of economic growth, his tax cuts now taking effect, fair trade policies, and lower inflation.

Intentionally buried under all the Leftmedia churn about Iran last Friday was an exceptional March jobs report — an estimated net of 178,000 jobs added.

There is still plenty of time to move the needle right, despite the constant media churn suggesting we are on the eve of the midterm elections, and the Leftmedia propaganda gauntlet.
