During my service in the Marine Corps, there were many times we were in dangerous situations, especially when walking point on patrols. But I always knew I could count on my fellow Marines to have my “six” (military jargon for my back). I certainly don’t have that same confidence when it comes to our federal government.

Originally, the primary responsibilities of the federal government were few and limited. One of the top responsibilities was to provide for the common defense of our country. Who feels safe since Biden came into office?

Every week sees thousands of illegal immigrants streaming into the country from our porous and virtually nonexistent southern border. We’re told they’re just folks who want a better life. They certainly get that here — housing, medicine, food, phones, preloaded debit cards. I mean, what’s not to like? Well, unless you’re a homeless American or a veteran. You need to move to the end of the line to make room for illegals.

As much as that angers many of us, that’s not my greatest concern.

My concern is the hundreds of thousands of military-age males from around the world, many from countries that hate us, flooding our borders. Do our elected officials have any concern that military-age Chinese men have entered our country? Are they concerned about the Chinese owning land close to nearly 20 of our military instillations?

Remember the “spy balloon” that drifted across our nation and military bases until it left our shores and was finally shot down? The damage was already done. Does anyone in Washington worry about what China is doing to damage our nation while suffering no consequences? Is it just me who thinks there is something to all the business the Bidens did with China through Hunter, the smartest person Joe knows? Why does Biden let the communists get away with it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Consider all the incidents of Chinese “tourists” getting onto military bases and acting as if they’re lost. Recall the illegal immigrants from Jordan trying to infiltrate Quantico, Virginia, where the Marine Corps trains our future officers and the FBI has training facilities. Did these drop down the media black hole as well?

So many questions, no answers. If Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin started asking his minions for some answers, that would be reassuring. But we all know that ain’t gonna happen. Apparently, even FBI Director Christopher Wray stays awake at night because of the alarm bells going off all across the country of potential threats to our national security. He’s asking for hundreds of millions of additional dollars to meet this threat. Can we trust him to use those funds to protect us? Or will he continue to investigate the perceived threats — Christians, pro-lifers, and extreme MAGA Republicans?

Authorities tell us it’s not if we might suffer another horrific terrorist attack, it’s when. After 9/11, we built this monstrous agency called the Department of Homeland Security. Billions have been spent since then, but does anyone believe we’re safer? (Especially when you consider ICE and Border Patrol operate under DHS.) In 2015, one lone jihadist killed four Marines and a Navy sailor in Chattanooga, Tennessee. What can thousands of terrorists accomplish?

It’s time this nation humbles itself under God’s mighty hand and prays for divine intervention to spare us from what’s coming!
