Re: Prosecute Michael Byrd for Killing Ashli Babbitt
“As a career homicide investigator from Babbitt’s home state, let me say that I reviewed the videos within days of her death, and there is NO QUESTION this was an unjustifiable shooting. The shooting review information should be released to the public and Byrd should be charged and prosecuted.” —California
“Agree 100% with your view on prosecuting Ashli Babbitt’s killer, and of the railroading of Officer Chauvin. My understanding with Chauvin’s case is that a juror said they had to find him guilty because they feared any other verdict would have resulted in a violent protest, more than likely burning down the city where he was tried.” —Illinois
“This sounds a lot like ‘co-conspirators after the fact.’ The people who covered for Byrd are also guilty and should likewise be prosecuted.” —Colorado
“My question is, what will Trump do for Chauvin? His sentence should be commuted to time served. Of course, that would touch off another obligatory series of riots, and I’m not sure the Trump administration has the support to fend off that blame. Wake me up if that happens, though.” —Oklahoma
Re: Joe Biden’s Low Energy Plan
“I started to read this but then my stomach started to turn, my head began to pound, and my blood pressure zoomed up. This is insanity! Is there no one in this country who can stop this feeble, confused, angry, vengeful man from flailing around in his last few desperate moments as president, trying to find more ways to cement his glorious legacy in the annals of history? He believes his legacy will show him as revered and honored, when in fact he seems determined to prove himself the worst and most traitorous person to ever set foot in Washington!” —Texas
Re: Behind Trump’s Expansionist Rhetoric
“Type in ‘the North Pole’ on Google Earth. Pay attention to the geographic position of Greenland in relation to Europe, Canada, and the Russian coastlines. Russia nearly owns the Arctic Ocean with nearly 24,000 km of coast. Canada has 162,000 km. Adding Greenland to the United States changes the strategic posture immediately. Trump is correct and the people of Greenland may agree with him.” —Massachusetts
Re: Chicago’s Publicly Owned Grocery Stores
“I think this has been tried already. A certain class of ‘customers’ assumed that the food was public property and that it was therefore their property, with no need to pay for it. In other words, they were driven out of business by shoplifters even faster than the big-chain grocery stores. Regardless, if the stores are run by standard-issue blue-city bureaucrats, they will lose money, have trouble keeping the shelves properly stocked, and probably fail to meet health and safety standards.” —Minnesota
Re: Two Special Counsels for Two-Tiered Justice
“I remember the last time Republicans controlled Congress and The White House. They all pretty much blew the opportunity to do a lot of corrections. I’m going to suggest that the new administration has TWO years to ‘fix’ things. The midterms will likely flip Congress, which will make it nearly impossible to pass any legislation that would rationalize the government.” —Florida
Re: Wray Takes a Final Friendly
“It’s so sad to witness the downfall of so many American institutions, i.e. journalism, the judicial system, the FBI, etc. I remember when ‘60 Minutes’ was breaking investigative journalism. We would wait up on Sunday night just to watch the premiere that was going to uncover these crazy conspiracies that no one could believe ever happened. Now, it’s just government propaganda. So sad to see.” —Colorado
Re: Dems’ Climate Agenda and DEI Virtue Signals Prove Devastating
“It would be remiss to not mention the increasing frequency of forest fires in Oregon. The same liberal lunatics have caused this through incompetent forest planning. A complicit legislature has furthered the damage. Between 1950 and 1987, Oregon had one forest fire that exceeded 10,000 acres. Since then, we have had an explosion of millions of acres burned each year.” —Oregon
“As for the Victor Davis Hanson quote, I could not have said it better myself, as he is a brilliant man, whereas I am not! As a matter of fact, I would be more inclined to go with the Trump quote, which states the same in much simpler terms: ‘Everything woke goes to sh*t!’ I feel this states very much the same thing!” —California
“This has nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with pathetically poor management at the local and state levels. The absence of land management and critical infrastructure is criminal. The tragedy of these fires notwithstanding, people at all levels of management, as well as anyone else responsible for starting or expanding these fires, need to be held accountable and charged accordingly.” —Iowa
“In an age where people are shooting up schools with abandon, driving large vehicles at high speeds into crowds of people, allowing foreign nationals, criminals, and jihadists across the borders unchecked, and torching cities just for fun, Harry and Meghan are doing wildfire photo ops while worried that we won’t have enough suppression of speech. If they were even remotely in touch with ordinary people, they’d understand that we have more hate than ever and that the cabal of ‘fact-checkers’ employed to prevent it has been an abject failure.” —Oklahoma
