Obama: I Owe Nothing
Government shutdown? Not my problem, says Obama.
Demo-gogues
“I shouldn’t have to offer anything,” Obama told NPR just before last night’s midnight deadline that resulted in a government shut down for the 18th time. “[Republicans are] not doing me a favor by paying for things that they have already approved for the government to do. That’s part of their basic function of government; that’s not doing me a favor. That’s doing what the American people sent them here to do, carrying out their responsibilities.”
For the narcissist in chief, it’s “My way or the highway.” When Big Government programs are on the line, what’s a little suffering for a higher goal? Don’t let Republican obstructionists get in the way of fundamental transformation.
