Barack Obama made it an administrative priority to "invest" large amounts of taxpayer money into electric car manufacturers -- to save the planet from "climate change," of course. And recall in 2011 when he foretold, "[America will] become the first country to have a million electric vehicles on the road by 2015." Those calculations are slightly off track. According to CNSNews, "all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles ... accounted for less than half of one percent of the 11.7 million light vehicles purchased in the U.S. during the last nine months." In other words, we've got a long way to go to reach that one million threshold just 14 months away. This boondoggle is set to be just as successful as all those solar energy incentives.
