Enrollment Smoke and Mirrors

Deception continues with ObamaCare.

The White House tweeted about ObamaCare enrollment numbers: “Thanks to the #ACA: 1. 2.2 million Americans signed up for health coverage 2. 30% of them are under 35.” That’s very misleading, however, as James Taranto explains: “6% of those who ‘signed up for health coverage’ are children under 18. The 30% includes that 6%. The figure everyone has been watching has been the number of young adult enrollees, which at 24% came in far short of the White House’s own benchmark.” In related news, the state of Oregon has yet to enroll a single person in its exchange and is looking to go with the federal version instead.
