Obama’s ‘Manhood Problem’
David Brooks hits hard.
Political analyst David Brooks had some harsh words for Barack Obama and his struggles in the foreign policy arena, particularly in the Middle East. “Obama,” Brooks said, “whether deservedly or not, does have a – I’ll say it crudely – but a manhood problem in the Middle East: Is he tough enough to stand up to somebody like Assad, somebody like Putin? I think a lot of the rap is unfair. But certainly in the Middle East, there’s an assumption he’s not tough.” That’s because he isn’t tough. His sole objective when it comes to U.S. national defense is to weaken it so he can knock America down a few pegs in the world and save that money for his domestic income redistribution schemes.
