Allying With Assad?
The administration’s next move.
The unfortunate fact of the last six years is Barack Obama has no foreign policy. More evidence of that comes in the form of a report that the president is considering a de facto alliance with Bashar al-Assad of Syria against ISIL terrorists running rampant in Iraq and Syria. A brief look back at recent history reveals the administration once considered Assad a “reformer” before declaring he had crossed Obama’s “red line” by using chemical weapons on his own people. Obama tried half-heartedly to win backing for some sort of “unbelievably small” (John Kerry’s words) military effort in Syria. Now that his ill-advised retreat from Iraq has produced predictable results, he’s flip-flopping again. How pathetic. More…
