Clyburn Now Insists Impeachment Is Racist
Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) has made several ridiculous charges of Republican racism of late, and he’s on the war path again. “There will be some reason found to introduce an impeachment resolution,” Clyburn said. “These Republicans have decided that this president must have an asterisk by his name after he leaves office, irrespective of whether or not he gets convicted. It is their plan to introduce an impeachment resolution.” Why? That’s easy – they’re racist. He continued, “[This whole charade] is to put an asterisk next to this first African-American president in the history of the country – to put an asterisk next to his name when the history books are written.” Clyburn needs to chill out. Republicans aren’t going to impeach the president – they couldn’t even muster enough energy to actually file the suit they threatened. Though, come to think of it, we’re sure that’s also because they’re racist.
