Congress Passes Bill Reducing Reports
In an effort to stop killing so many trees, Washington is trying to shred the hallmark of a burgeoning bureaucracy: reports. The Washington Post writes, “Congress forwarded a bill to President Obama this week that would eliminate 53 outdated, little-used and redundant reports that federal employees spend massive amounts of time each year to complete. The House passed the bipartisan Government Reports Elimination Act unanimously on Wednesday, following up on the Senate’s across-the-board approval of a bipartisan companion measure in September.” Reducing waste?
