Hillary Doesn’t Have That ‘New Car Smell’
Barack Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton for president during a Sunday interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “And I am very interested in making sure that I’ve got a Democratic successor,” Obama said. “So I’m gonna do everything I can, obviously, to make sure that, whoever the nominee is, is successful. If she [Hillary] decides to run, I think she will be a formidable candidate and I think she’d be a great president.” Obama continued, saying what he thinks the country needs in a new president, “You know, I think the American people, you know, they’re gonna want that new car smell. You know, they wanna drive somethin’ off the lot that doesn’t have as much mileage as me.” Mileage? One of the few Democrats with more political mileage than Obama is Hillary Clinton. Running Hillary in 2016 is akin to giving a 1999 Toyota Prius a paint job and selling it as new. That would be the second time Democrats will try to sell the nation a lemon. More…
