Charlie Rangel Wants Reparations
The Congressional Black Caucus took the floor of the House Monday to air their opinions about the grand jury’s decision not to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson. In the case of Charlie Rangel (D-NY), the decrying of the American culture when it comes to race goes beyond judging a man based on the content of his character and extends into full on reparations. “Some people may talk about payment for restitution for past crimes committed against human beings,” Rangel said. “But that restitution could be the ability to say that we’re going to make certain that people of color in this country would be able to have access to the same type of education, live where they want to live, compete against anybody for the job, and not feeling that they’re inferior because people have been taught that just because they have a different complexion that they are superior.” Even the likes of Rev. Jesse Jackson admit the movement he leads has shifted from civil rights to economic equality. Rangel is only advocating for wealth distribution based on race – a racist idea. More…
