Obama Hits Fundraising Trail for 2016 Election Early
For the Washington political circus, it’s never too early to start preparing for the 2016 presidential elections. And Barack Obama is no exception – in fact, he’s the rule. Not all the races have been decided from the midterm elections (the Senate race in Louisiana will be decided Dec. 6) but Obama has made plans to be the main draw at a Washington fundraiser for the liberal elite. The Associated Press reports, “Obama is headlining a fundraiser at a ritzy hotel near the White House to benefit the Democratic National Committee. The DNC says roughly 30 donors paid up to $32,400 each to attend.” We can probably expect to see more of Obama on the campaign trail in the coming months and years. With so much involvement maybe he will feel the need to put his legislation, his legacy and his policies on the 2016 ballot. More…
