We Can’t Take a Joke When Politicians Jest About Voter Fraud
The father of Sen. Mary Landrieu’s chief of staff, Mayor of Opelousas, Louisiana, Donald Cravins Sr., told a barroom full of supporters to vote twice in the Nov. 4 election that will be decided in a runoff election tomorrow. “If you early voted, go vote again tomorrow,” craven Cravins told the crowd. “One more time’s not going to hurt and tomorrow we’re gonna elect Earl Taylor as D.A. so he won’t prosecute you if you vote twice.” The Landrieu campaign released a statement telling everyone that they just can’t take a joke. It’s humor, okay? It’s not like all humor has an element of truth to it and craven Cravins wasn’t admitting the state’s government was rottener than a carcass decomposing in the Louisiana swampland.
