In advance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned address to Congress next week, Barack Obama and administration are doing all they can do to undermine our primary ally in the Middle East. The brainstorming sessions must not be going well. The Associated Press reports, “Administration officials have discarded the idea of President Barack Obama himself giving an Iran-related address to rebut the two speeches Netanyahu is to deliver during his early March visit. But other options remain on the table.” Instead, the once-renown orator may give interviews with friendly journalists, and make White House officials available for interviews in an effort to color the coverage of Netanyahu’s visit against the Israeli prime minister. Clearly, Obama is now exercising no restraint in his contempt for Israel and Jews. Former White House Senior Advisor David Axelrod was asked about a revealing passage from his new book, asserting that Obama “had been pulling his punches with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for fear of antagonizing some elements of the American Jewish community.” Axelrod responded that his lame duck boss is “having the time of his life right now,” adding, “I think he feels very much unrestrained” in regard to his contempt for Israel.
