Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn put his finger on a deeper problem for the U.S. in a recent interview: “Iran is a deep part of the problem. Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism. Iran has killed more Americans than al-Qaida has through state sponsors, through their terrorist network Hezbollah. So we have to recognize that this is a very dangerous … country.” Instead of recognizing this, however, the administration is continuing to talk with Iran about its nuclear program and seemingly ceding ground all the time.
