If Hillary Clinton becomes president, then America will have one of the most promiscuous “first ladies” in history. And to think it’s at a time when comedian Bill Cosby has been tried in the court of public opinion over similar infidelities. Bill Clinton has stepped into the public spotlight, starting to campaign for his wife. And while Hillary has vowed to fight for women if she were to gain the White House, her dismissal, nay, hostility towards the woman that credibly accused her husband of sexually assaulting them raises a glaring double standard. As the Washington Examiner said in its headline: “Press declares open season on Bill Clinton’s sex scandal history.” While we point out that the media obviously treats leftists sympathetically (this is why Clinton hasn’t been challenged on his sexual actions), the Left must square its recently discovered moral outrage at anything resembling sexual assault with the actions of the past president. ABC News’ Cecilia Vega asked Bill Clinton if his past was fair game in this presidential race. Clinton stood there, obviously at loss for words. Finally, he said, “I’m trying to tell the Democrats in the country why I think Hillary would be the best president. I think there’s always attempts to take the election away from the people, so I’m just going to give it to them.” The Clinton campaign sidestepped the issue for now, but as with Bill Cosby, the question of sexual assault lingers — especially for a figurehead of the party decrying the “war on women.”
