Re: “Here We Go Again: Another COVID Variant”
“It’s a well-known scientific fact that viruses generally mutate to be more infectious but less virulent. This is because their nature is to spread themselves without killing their hosts. However, this seems to be forgotten by trained leftist MDs and ignored by the leftist deep state and our leftist media. The result is ignorance and panic, which is what the Left wants. I can only suggest to America to follow the old sage advice: ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.’ First we were fooled by Alpha, which was going to kill most of us. Then we were fooled by Delta, which was going to finish us off. Now we’re set to be fooled by Omicron. What should be said about us if we’re fooled thrice?” —Illinois
Re: “A Flicker of Hope for Pro-Lifers”
“‘Neither side left the justices any wiggle room to address this case incrementally without upsetting the precedent represented in Roe.’ Of course, that presupposes that the case will be decided on the merits of the arguments and the literal wording of the relevant statutes. Unfortunately, in his zeal to have SCOTUS decide its cases as narrowly as possible, John Roberts has sometimes shown a regrettable tendency to go beyond these proper limits to the Court’s authority, as when he personally redefined the Obamacare ‘penalties’ as ‘taxes’ to save the program from the consequences of the Democrats’ own bungled bill-writing.” —Georgia
Re: “SCOTUS Hears Most Important Abortion Case in a Generation”
“I appreciate a need to help victims of sexual crimes and the gravity of a resulting pregnancy. But murdering a helpless innocent only perverts justice to greater evil. It’s better to focus on prevention, severe penalties for perpetrators, and a culture that values the sanctity of marriage and family more than immediate satiation of the libido.” —Missouri
Re: “A Leftmedia Whitewash in Waukesha”
“This reminds me of my high school Spanish teacher from almost 50 years ago, who was chuckling at how Spanish is structured. For example, if I say ‘I broke the toy,’ it’s obvious that I’m at fault. In Spanish, it’s ‘me rompi el juguete,’ for which ‘rompi’ means ‘I broke,’ ‘el juguete’ means ‘the toy,’ and ‘me’ is a modifier that refers to ‘rompi’ and literally translates to ‘on me.’ So her point was that the fault is literally somewhat ambiguous, that either I broke the toy or it broke on me. Take your pick. But CNN’s ‘a car drove through a city Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring scores of others’ takes ambiguity to a whole new, corrupt level.” —Illinois
Re: “High Gas Prices? Buy Electric, Says Buttigieg”
“Buttigieg is not taking in account the huge increases in electric power cost, which will result from (1) huge capital investments to upgrade existing power plants to handle the increased electrical load; (2) huge capital investments to provide additional transmission power capabilities; and (3) huge increases in natural gas costs, which account for at least 40% of the total power generation today. Gas has already doubled in price. It could very well double in price again. Guess what that does for your heating bill in the winter? Get your wallets out! Additionally, I have not heard any ‘experts’ comment on how much it will cost to operate an EV using today’s power costs. Guess it must be free!” —Kentucky
“If the government gave everyone an EV, the high gas prices would still remain due to current policies. Moreover, the impact of those high gas prices still impacts the cost of everything in the supply chain. Families will still suffer from the high gas prices, except you will also have a new EV raising your electric bill. Anyone noticed your utility bills raising faster than the gas prices?” —Utah
Re: “CNN Gives Wrist Slap to Chris Cuomo”
“Why don’t we go back to having just plain reporters who — at their best — can separate operative facts from opinion and conjecture? ‘Journalism’ by definition is commentary on the ‘facts’ (including context that the journalist selects as being operative). After WWII, journalism school faculties were the among the first targets of European refugee intellectuals of the Left. And see how successful they were.” —Washington
Re: “Demo Speech Suppressors Target Patriot Post”
“At a recent Republican Town Committee meeting in Dartmouth, MA, a young Chinese woman, who emigrated to the United States 20 years ago, spoke to the group. She commented that the conditions in the U.S. today regarding the Left versus the Patriots are exactly the same as they were in China when she lived there. We are at war right now and we just don’t know it yet. But, we will. Keep doing what you are doing, Mark Alexander and The Patriot Post.” —Massachusetts
