The anger expressed by some of the attendees to the Democratic National Convention over the Platform Committee’s failure to mention God was just the tip of a huge Titanic-sinking iceberg.

On November 21, 1620 our puritan/pilgrim forebears, aboard the 100 foot long Mayflower sighted land near Cape Cod. Their destination was Northern Virginia near the mouth of the Hudson River. They attempted to get into a safe harbor in the Hudson but were buffeted by a powerful winter storm. The captain and the leaders of the Pilgrims agreed to return to what was Provincetown in the Massachusetts colonial area.

Their first act was to kneel and thank God for a safe crossing. They and our Founding Fathers and Mothers were closely associated with a benevolent providence and prayer was their touchstone with God. Children were taught to read as soon as they were ready. Why? In order that the children could read the Holy Bible and become faithful Christians.

The Pilgrims were a most faithful folk as wee their descendants who fought the War of Revolution and in 1787 developed the greatest document ever by and for a free people, The Constitution of the United States of America. All this took place in the short span of 170 years.

Those foresighted men were all men of God, trusted in His benevolence and prayed to Him frequently for guidance.

Beginning with the first Democratic President, Andrew Jackson, the art/science of politics became a criminal pastime. Jackson was the first known proponent of the “Spoils System” from whence came the victory cry, “To the victors belong the spoils.” Little has changed in the intervening years.

One other act that turned out disastrously was the lawsuit filed by Madalyn Murray O'Hair, which when combined with two other lawsuits being decided before the Supreme Court in 1963 resulted in ending prayer in our schools. This was and is the classic case of one disgruntled individual causing all Americans to suffer an infringement on their rights under the First Amendment. “The judge dismissed the case, stating that atheists already have their own holiday, April 1, April Fool’s Day, for ‘The fool has said in his heart, there is no God’ Psalm 14:1."



Every government official takes an oath or makes an affirmation to defend the Constitution. Most if not all violate that oath almost immediately. God was taken out of our schools and unscrupulous politicians have taken God from our government. Most Americans either have forgotten or simply failed to remember; Religious Services were held in the House of Representatives beginning during Thomas Jefferson’s Presidency, Madison’s Presidency and continuing until after the Civil War. Services were held in the offices of the Executive Branch and in the Supreme Court.


So does there exist a "Wall of Separation” between Church and State? NO! You will find no such statement in the Constitution. Our federal government has, through its laxity, poor judgment, and loss of Faith in God, forced God out of our daily lives, our government and allowed the faithless to take leadership roles better held by Christians or Jews, certainly not by Muslims.

America thrived as a nation following a Judeo-Christian Ethic. Carelessness and failure to notice the erosion of faith taking place has put America into a precarious position. Once we had that “Shining City on the Hill” about which Jesus spoke and which was the subject of one of the Reverend John Winthrop’s sermons but the luster has vanished.

For any who doubt the credibility of the Judeo-Christian Ethos; you are advised to verify that one Jew, Haym Salomon was George Washington’s financial go-to guy; that’s right, he saved this nation in our time of greatest need and he died penniless and in debt. Mr. Obama’s claims of muslim activity and support for America are smoke and mirrors. Simply one more lie among hundreds by Mr. Obama, he who has abandoned his professed Christianity for Islamic observances and White House gatherings for the LGBT crowd who have also abandoned our Christian and Jewish God.

We as Americans cannot expect God to sustain us when we fail to heed His admonishments. Our Benevolent Provider has a rightful position on every government building, memorial and in every Christian-Jewish institute of learning. Prayer must be put back into every school along with the American Flag and the Holy Bible.
