Wisconsin Univ. & Harvard Study Define Obama as Liar
Lying has become an art form with President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who think it is more vital to protect their backside than to protect America when al Qaida attacked and destroyed the American Consulate in Benghazi. This level of lying rises to the Constitution at Article II Sec. 4, “Treason, Bribery, or other HIGH Crimes and Misdemeanors” that actually applies to government officials in high places. Are there many higher places than President and Secretary of State? If impeachment is not in order for this willful lying, cover-up, and dereliction of duty, then what is?
A research study by the University of Wisconsin and Harvard Business School highlights differences between two types of liars: the traditional kind who say things they know are not true, and “deceivers by omission” who deliberately withhold information to obfuscate what they’re talking about. And it turns out the outright liars are more effective at deception. WHAT? They never mentioned it was a double-blind study with Obama and Hillary being the outright liars.
Wisconsin-Harvard research determined that liars typically engage in three giveaway habits. Liars talked more than others, swore more often, and spoke more often in the third person. Researchers dubbed such chatty, profane talk as the “Pinocchio effect,” since the more one lies, the more words are used. And to think they were not even talking about gifted orator Barack Obama who actually is merely a proficient reader from strategically placed Teleprompters. His lofty words never seem to translate to reality.
How can you tell when a politician is lying? When his lips are moving, and since Congress is predominantly made up and run by lawyers, is it any surprise that a recent Gallup Poll found that Congress cannot be trusted as its approval rating hovers at a dismal 15% while its disapproval rating is 79%?
A little recognized lie is the House 36th vote on repeal of ObamaCare. Congress can vote this repeal 3,000 times resulting in meaningless majority for repeal in light of Senate refusal to vote on repeal. Who is the House trying to fool with this charade, besides themselves? That makes Speaker Boehner guilty of misleading, twisting, and truth be told, lying.
Magnifying the lie is the Boehner hypocrisy of publicly criticizing ObamaCare out of one corner of his mouth while including ObamaCare funding in spending authorizations. Is it any wonder that Congress is held in contempt by the knowing public? Boehner is also guilty of corrupting Tea Party members by denying them powerful committee seats.
In addition to Party labels like Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian, and such, politicians are also identified by sub-labels such as Liberal, Conservative, and Independent. Liberals are most true to their label while many hide behind the Conservative cloak, but are often closer in affinity to Liberal, hence the derogatory term “Republican In Name Only (RINO) making themselves hypocrites and liars as no one knows who and what they are.
Failed V.P. 2012 candidate Paul Ryan demonstrates hypocrisy by allowing for abortion consideration. He said on July 16 that anti-abortion activists should try to build a broad coalition and find common ground with supporters of abortion rights as a way to advance their agenda. Ryan, R-Wis. went on to say that those who oppose abortion "need to work with people who consider themselves pro-choice, because our task isn’t to purge our ranks. It’s to grow them.”
Ryan’s turn-about flies in the face of Conservative ideology but conforms to “Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing” – a well-known sports quotation generally attributed to Vince Lombardi, legendary head coach and general manager of the Green Bay Packers, but supposedly first said by UCLA Bruins football coach Henry Russell (Red) Sanders in 1949 and 1950.
Senator Rand Paul is supposedly 100% pro-life but showed his true colors or lack thereof by voting to confirm 100% pro-abortion Senator John Kerry, who in his worldwide travels, promotes abortion.
If Conservative politicians were to be true to their mission statement, they would rather not win than sacrifice their core beliefs and principles in order to win. Representative Paul Ryan and Senator Rand Paul are part of the cabal that places the importance of winning above all else. Winning in that scenario is a lie and constitutes a loss for all true Conservatives.
As to Wall Street and the record-high Dow Jones average, the NY Times “Quotation of the Day” reports a comment by Michael Sheldon, chief market strategist at RDM Financial about Wall Street and its near daily record-setting closing DJI highs: “It’s hard to hold this market down.”
Delusion is a form of lying to one’s-self as Wall Street does as bubble after bubble develops, all waiting to burst as some insignificant pinch can burst the bubble and create a stampede toward the exits, leaving small investors trodden down in the financial dust.
Traditionalists need only point to Genesis, the very first book of the Bible that narrates the fall from grace of Adam and Eve, the first recorded people on earth, who fell victim to the first recorded human lie at the behest of Satan, the father of lies.
Then there is the story of Cain who killed his brother Abel, and, replying to God’s query, “Where is your brother,” answered the question with a question: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Now we know whom politicians descended from and why they often answer a question with another question, stalling for time, and then not actually addressing the question, a sophisticated form of lying.
