Terrorist Chatter Forces 19 US Consulate Closures

Chatter detected by federal agencies indicates a pending massive terror strike against undetermined US targets, forcing closure of nineteen American Consulates in the Middle East and Africa. The State Department announced the closures “out of an abundance of caution,” as the terror threats are considered to be specific and serious. Evidently, Al Qaida is not dead simply because, as VP Joe Biden put it, “Osama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive.”

Questionable and dangerous premature disclosure of too much information is beneficial to enemies dedicated to the destruction of the US. With all the scandals plaguing Obama and his administration, the terrorist threat bad news drives the media narrative away from Obama and Hillary Benghazi fiasco, while relieving objections to NSA spying scandals due to Obama’s need to protect the people.

NSA spying on American citizens was disclosed by Edward Snowden exposure of massive spying on citizens, leaving the country divided on whether Snowden is a hero or traitor. Congress is divided as well, some considering Snowden to be a legitimate whistle-blower, and entitled to protection under those laws.

No sooner had the public gotten over the horrific 9/11/2001 terror attack than it was repeated on a smaller but more significant scale in the 9/11/2012 Benghazi attacks killing a US Ambassador and three others, injuring many more. Obama was derelict in his duty to protect the US in that instance as he, Hillary Clinton, and UN Ambassador Susan Rice, attributed the attack as reprisal for a little-known video trailer against Islam.

At any rate, the new threats get Obama off the hot seat again, but there are serious questions of Obama’s absence from the scene as he is constantly campaigning or vacationing while unknown or unconfirmed underlings make life-changing decisions in his absence.

Obama freed Egypt by deposing Hosni Mubarak and empowering the extreme Islamist Muslim Brotherhood that installed Mohamed Morsi as president. But a year later millions of Egyptians gathered in somewhat violent protests, forcing a coup d'état by the Military that removed Morsi and installed a temporary president.

But the “I can’t wait for Congress to act” President Barack Obama determined it was not a coup, enabling him to skirt yet another law that prohibits US aid to a country in event of a coup. Obama refuses to discontinue military and other aid to Egypt and on his own refused to cancel shipment of F-16s, signaling no US challenge to the Egyptian coup. Egypt officials confirmed that in fact it was a coup. Evidently, Obama knows Egypt’s coup better than Egyptians themselves do.

Egypt erupts again, so chalk up another international success for President Barack Hussein Obama who is expert at making bad situations worse, removing Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak and putting in Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, which was know to be dangerous. Now Morsi is out and the military is attempting to quell another violent uprising. Americans still trust their clueless leader who is the end-all and be-all, the alpha and the omega, with omega being the operative word.

Like Obama, Saudi Arabia and the UAE also came to the aid of Egypt, but woke a sleeping giant in Turkey that favors the Muslim Brotherhood and Shariah Law. Unfortunately, many GOP members, led by war hawk Senator John McCain, also favor continuation of military aid to Egypt.

If DC deemed Egypt’s Military Morsi removal a coup, the US would be legally required to cut its estimated $1.3 billion in military aid. Obama’s determination should not be a surprise as he has dictatorially selected which laws to enforce or not, overriding Congress and the Supreme Court. When that was not sufficient, Obama issued excessive unconstitutional executive orders, while he used the EPA, bureaucracies, and the likes of Kathleen Sebelius to arbitrarily impose legislative mandates.

President George W. Bush mad a serious mistake when he, with consent of Congress, preemptively attacked Iraq. WMD was not the real issue concerning Iraq as many countries have nuclear and other WMD weapons, and the US is NOT the world policeman. The point is that the US attack on Iraq was ORIGINALLY driven by the UN that played the US like a fiddle.

A little appreciated nuance is the change by the Bush II administration, changing the theme from “WMD” to “Iraqi Freedom,” and that speaks volumes. Another point is that Iraq played no part in the 9/11/2001 attacks on the US. Other countries have WMD but the US cannot jockey across the world, crossing sovereign territories at will to fix the problem.

Iraq is a natural enemy of Iran and the two offset and balanced each other out, but now that the US knocked Iraq out of the equation, Iran is free to interfere and impose its will on the region. Dozens of countries are ruled by evil dictators and it is not within the duty or possibility of the US to remove all dictators.

With UN and European help, Obama instigated removal of dictators in Egypt and Libya, and those peoples are now clamoring for the old regimes, as they were better than the new Shariah driven Muslim Brotherhood. So now there are more uprisings on top of the old uprisings. Meanwhile, Syria is self-destructing as no one knows which rebel group is the “right” rebel group. When in a Pandora’s Box, it is not only best, but the only way to end wars the way as was done in previous times, simply stop fighting and go home, Japanese “Saving Face” be damned.

Sadly, America’s put-upon military, as Rodney Dangerfield put it, “Get no respect,” particularly from the Commander-In-Chief. First of all, America’s military is made up of VOLUNTEERS. There is no draft and if the US is at war, which it has been for the last 11 years, starting in Afghanistan and Iraq by GWB, and spread to Egypt, Libya, and North Africa, by Obama. Then why is there no draft, no conscription?

Why do volunteers have unending tours of duty, up to eight or more stints in dangerous war zones? And why are there more than 6,000 dead and 50,000 serious injuries? I do not know if it is true or not, but I thought I heard Obama say, “They volunteered,” and should be liable for their own medical care now that it is needed. I remember the early ads for the National Guard with four presumably college age kids sitting around a lunch table with one saying he was signing up for the Guard to get free tuition for college; and the ad ends when he asks another, “Are you using that pickle?” And now those volunteers are the ones in the pickle.

It’s sad treatment of our American volunteers who are fighting for an insane cause while the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) is laughing all the way to the bank. God Bless our heroic military who have given all: death, injury, loss of respect, jobs, family, and evidently, hope. When will Congress wake up and defund all Middle East nonsense? Evidently never, with long-term incumbent war-hawks like John McCain lobbying for yet more war; attacks on Syria, Libya, North Korea, along with new drone warfare, also used for NSA spying on American citizens. And for this, these incumbents want to be re-elected for life?

Not to be deterred, Obama designated Secretary of State John Kerry to open a new Mideast peace effort with an Iftar, the religious observance of Islam’s Ramadan. Traditionally, but not mandatory, three dates are eaten to break the fast in emulation of their Prophet Muhammad, who broke his fast by eating three dates.

The Hatfields and McCoys are alive and well thanks to the Obama initiative to send superstar Ketchup King Sec. of State John Kerry to play footsie with sworn enemies forever. But that diverts attention from a dozen “phony scandals” plaguing the would be One World Leader. And after that, “Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of man…The shadow knows…Heh Heh, Heh, Heh, Heh.”

Despite unfounded optimism, peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) will not work as long as the terrorist organization Hamas is in control. It is senseless to give PA an international platform in DC that will further serve as an excuse for them to cast blame on Israel that has been under constant rocket attack from territory occupied by Palestinians that provide cover for Hamas that fires rockets hidden in schools and hospitals.

Rose Garden negotiations are nothing new but in the end, nothing is new. Israeli-Palestinian contrived negotiations are further attempts to distract Americans from the many Obama administration scandals that are now touted by Obama as “phony scandals.” A big ho hum; so what; no biggie. Snowden might be a hero or a traitor but the same does not apply to Obama who is closer to the latter.

Hope springs eternal, but if one side is dedicated to never-ending violence, violence can never be ended, despite the best intentions of mice and men. Meanwhile, America is closing shop in nineteen countries and going into hiding. Would that Obama be renamed Bush and then the clamor from all the media would be for his impeachment and jailing.
