Christmas
Without Jesus
Is just another day
And night alone
In this big world
Without the star that shone
To guide us
To where the Savior lay…
And so, we still are lost –
Searching
For the perfect gift –
Wond'ring what it will cost…
And if payment can be made
By Mastercard, or Visa
Or only cash or check…
Yet, the final toll
Is our soul
As, if now, we give-a-heck…
Still
The day will come –
All too soon
When, in-full,
The debt, we must pay
But we will find
There is no way
In the world
We can
Unless
We believe
That Saving began this day.
