Islamic Terrorists in Paris Slaughter NOT Connected to Islam?

Howard Dean, a former Democratic Presidential candidate, made controversial comments yesterday regarding the horrific attack and murder of 12 people at The publication, Charlie Hebdo in Paris yesterday: “I stopped calling these people Muslim terrorists. They’re about as Muslim as I am.”

Why are so many Democrats, including our President so determined NOT to label these terrorists as “Muslim,” or “Islamic?” Back in September of 2012, President Obama said, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”…..“As Ghandi said, Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.”

So is the murderous behavior of Islamic terrorists towards anyone who has differing religious beliefs other than Islam not characterized as intolerance? Is it not an obstacle to the democratic spirit of our Nation?

Have we become a country so caught up with political correctness that we are willing to turn our backs and close our eyes to the horrific acts of hate that are being committed right under our noses? Is our president so determined to maintain the ambivalence of who and what is really responsible for these acts of terrorism; the beheadings, the lone wolf attacks, the murder of innocent men women and children, that he is willing to sit back and watch the continued slaughter of innocents at the hands of a religion who is itself the definition of intolerance?

Brother Rachid, a former Muslim, posted a video called, “A Message to President Obama from a Former Muslim.” In his video, he says, “I can tell you with confidence that ISIL speaks for Islam. ISIL is a Muslim organization.” ISIL’s leader, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, holds a PhD in Islamic studies and, therefore, knows more about Islam than Obama does. There are 10,000 members in ISIL who are all Muslims and come from different countries, with Islam being the common denominator.“

He further says of his own upbringing, "We have been brainwashed to hate all of you in our sacred texts, in our prayers, in our Friday sermons, in our educational systems. We are ready to join any group that one day would fight you and destroy you and make Islam the religion of the whole world , as the Koran says.”

So, what about the innocent followers of Islam? Is labeling an extremist group “Islamic terrorists,” a form of “intolerance,” as President Obama claims? In a panel at the Heritage Foundation, Brigitte Gabriel, the founder, president and CEO of ACT! for America, addressed a Muslim law student about the “innocents” in contrast to the “radicals” of the faith:

“There are 1.2 billion Muslims in the world today - of course not all of them are radicals. The majority of them are peaceful people. The radicals are estimated to be 15-25 percent……you are looking at 180-300 million people dedicated to the destruction of western civilization……It is the radicals that kill. It is the radicals that behead and massacre.

"Why should we worry about the radicals? When you look throughout history, most Germans were peaceful, yet the Nazis drove the agenda. As a result, 60 million people died, 6 million Jews. The peaceful majority was irrelevant. When you look at the Russians, most were peaceful, but the Russians were able to kill 20 million people, the peaceful majority was irrelevant. Most of the Chinese were peaceful, yet the Chinese were able to kill 70 million people. The peaceful majority was irrelevant. When you look at Japan prior to the war, most were peaceful, yet Japan was able to butcher its way across Southeast Asia, killing 12 million people, mostly killed with bayonets and shovels. The peaceful majority was irrelevant.

"On Sept. 11 in the United States, we had 2.3 million Arab Muslims living here…..it took 19 high jackers, 19 radicals to bring America down to its knees, destroy the World Trade Center, attack the Pentagon and kill almost 3000 Americans that day. The peaceful majority was irrelevant. So, for all our powers of reason and talking about moderate and peaceful Muslims, I’m glad you were here, but where are the others speaking out?………. It is time we take political correctness and throw it in the garbage where it belongs…..”

While President Obama condemns those who slander the prophet of Islam, releases terrorist after terrorist from Guantanamo Bay, and denounces the interrogation program in the United States, Islamic terrorists yelling “Allah Akbar,” continue to behead and murder innocents around the globe. Are we all to become prisoners in our own homes because the leaders, of not only the United States, but nations around the globe cower at calling a spade a spade,? Is all this denial, surrounded by the bloodbath at the hands of Islamic terrorists, justified because we need to protect potentially hurt feelings?

Is Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the only one who has it right? The only one willing to stand up and call these radicals what they truly are? In his speech to the United Nations in September of 2014, he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the people of Israel pray for peace, but our hopes and the world’s hopes for peace are in danger because everywhere we look militant Islam is on the march. It’s not militants. It’s not Islam. It’s militant Islam. And typically its first victims are other Muslims, but it spares no one: Christians, Jews, Yazidis, Kurds. No creed, no faith, no ethnic group is beyond its sights. And it’s rapidly spreading in every part of the world.”

It is time to stop the proliferation of political correctness. It is time to stop walking on egg shells and deal with the cancer that threatens the security of the United States and the world. It is time for our leaders to call these terrorists what they truly are…..Muslim extremists, militant Islam, Islamic terrorists!
