A Minor Party Candidate Worth Considering
In August 2014, I wrote a post asking, Is It Time for all Patriots, Conservatives, Christians, et. al., to leave the Republican Party? In this piece, I identified areas where the GOP failed to support and defend the Constitution by failing to be a viable opposition party to the most criminal and impeachable administration in our Republic’s history. Since the publication of this piece courtesy of The Patriot Post, the elected officials of that party passed an odorous budget bill that completely caved to the administration. They have been missing in action in from putting an end to the Trans-Pacific Trade Treaty, the Iranian Nuclear Deal or the allowing of predatory males, who for a moment could identify as transsexual, admittance into the restrooms and locker rooms of our daughters in public school. As a public school teacher, I will be addressing this issue in my next post. Also, the advancement of the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development, which I wrote about the post, One Question That Should Be Asked For Every GOP Presidential Candidate…, is slowly being pushed forward without any media attention. During the primary season, the establishment of the GOP party leadership pulled out all stops in an effort to get any true conservative and defender of essential freedoms from achieving the nomination of the party. Their efforts have led to the presumptive nomination of a businessman who was the owner of a casino that went bankrupt.
In the 1st article I cited, I addressed the party platforms of the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party. Both of these parties are small government advocates that would make massive cuts in the federal budget if they should assume power. However, as I pointed out in the article, the Libertarians are small government advocates for those who are not of the Judeo-Christian faith while the Constitution Party is as our Founding Fathers were. The Libertarians still advocate a woman’s right to choose to murder her child through aborting her pregnancy over the right to life of the pre-born as well as the legalization of narcotic sales and consumption. The Constitution Party will not support these issues as they connect constitutional governance with sound Biblical teaching.
The Patriot Post has already posted an article on the ticket of the Libertarian Party citing both their positives and negatives. There is nothing more I wish to add to their work. Instead I would like to bring up the ticket for the Constitution Party, make a few comments and invite commentary by readers of this post. The ticket consists of two defenders of the Constitution in Darrell Castle and Scott Bradley. Both are men who served in the military and spoke and published a defense of the Constitution as they are in their current campaign. I have read the platforms of all candidates as published on their websites and I find the platform of their campaign to be most in line with the essential freedoms advocated by The Patriot Post. To highlight a few are the elimination of domestic federal aid, getting the US out of the UN while building a strong nation defense that will serve to protect and defend our nation and its Constitution, the right to life of the pre-born, the abolition of the Department of Education, ending the Federal Reserve, a strong defense of the 10th amendment and a strong opposition to the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development. They were the only candidates to address the latter issue. There is more to their platform, but I ask readers to investigate their campaign for themselves.
As a minor party, the Constitution Party can only get ballot access in states through the petition process. If you like what you read and cannot abide the presumptive GOP nominee or the party as a whole for their failures after the voting public gave them legislative power, I ask you to help this campaign get on the ballot in your state and spread the word that a true defender of the Constitution is on the ballot.
Finally, there are those who will say that casting a vote for a minor party ticket is a wasted vote and a vote that can propel an enemy of the Constitution into power like the presumptive Democrat nominee who is currently under criminal investigation by the FBI. I contend that a vote is wasted when you continue to support a more powerful party that will not fight for the issues that voters elect them to fight for. It’s time to build a better opposition party and I believe the Constitution Party is the best party to build upon. With committed support, a minor party can transition to a major party in a short period of time. As an example, after the death of the Whig party, a meeting was held March 20, 1854 in a small town in Wisconsin that created the modern day Republican Party on the single issue of ending slavery. They had a presidential candidate in the 1856 election who polled well and in the next election cycle, they placed their candidate in the White House. For those who are unhappy with the way the GOP has conducted itself during the unlawfulness of the current administration and who are not happy with the presumptive GOP nominee, I ask you to consider the Constitution party ticket over the Libertarian.
