Many Americans groan when they hear Hollywood is doing another reboot or remake of a famous movie. They’re often disasters because they impose a modern leftist agenda on classic stories.
 
Now the left is remaking Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Jesus Christ Superstar. A new production scheduled to run this summer at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles casts a woman as Jesus. Not just any woman, but a bald “queer” woman.
 
That’s about as subtle as a sledgehammer, and it’s blasphemy.
 
Is there one American artist of any kind – a producer, director, actor, painter, or sculptor – who has treated Muhammad with the same disrespect? Maybe I should add “an artist who hasn’t been murdered by a jihadist.”
 
By the way, historians are clear that Muhammad bedded girls as young as nine. So, there is plenty of material for an “artist” to use to go after him.
 
This remake of Jesus Christ Superstar, portraying Jesus Christ as a bald lesbian, is part of the left’s relentless cultural jihad against the Judeo-Christian foundation of the United States.
 
Remember the outrageous opening ceremony at last year’s Paris Olympics? The homosexual director thought it would be really “progressive” to depict Christ’s Last Supper before His crucifixion with obese performers and drag queens. He also threw a young child into this obscenity, just for good measure.
 
There are the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They’re drag queens garishly dressed up as nuns, mocking women who have devoted their lives to Christ.
 
The reason for such disgraceful displays is to mock what Christians consider to be sacred.
 
If we laugh at a grotesque drag queen or shake our head at Joe Biden’s assistant health secretary, a man pretending to be a woman, we are called homophobes and bigots. But leftists can mock our faith, and we’re supposed to tolerate it because they’re “artists.”
 
They are haters, actually. We should tag them as “Christophobes” because they hate Christ and those of us who follow Him. Pastors looking for a way to find common ground with these people are wasting their time.
 
 
 
The Culture War
 
I want to be clear: I am not talking about every gay man or woman. There are many people who live normal lives, regardless of their predilections, who are not mocking anyone’s faith. One is Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, a very accomplished individual, and now the highest-ranking openly gay government official in history.
 
During his confirmation hearing, Bessent told senators:
 
“I sit here knowing that President Trump chose me because he believes I am the best candidate, not because of my sexual preference. I think it is a tribute to President Trump that he looks at people as people.”
 
That is exactly the right reason for him to be hired, and it is very anti-LGBTQ ideology for him to make that point. He does not define himself by his “identity” but by his ability.
 
What a lot of church leaders willfully or otherwise appear to be confused about is that there is a fundamental conflict between the LGBTQ ideology and Christianity, which we have regularly written about over the years.
 
Radical LGBTQ activists used their “live and let live” argument only long enough to confuse the church and young Christians. Once they gained power, the “live and let live” movement became an iron fist, forcing us to worship at their altar.
 
We must bake cakes for their weddings.
 
We must allow them to marry in our churches.
 
We must allow them to adopt children, while government agencies increasingly restrict Christians from adopting unless we pledge to fully embrace the LGBTQ agenda, including allowing children to mutilate their bodies in a vain attempt to change their gender.
 
It has always been a war. It has never been about “live and let live.”
 
As Dr. James Dobson and I wrote over 30 years ago, someone will win the culture war in America, and the winner will get to teach our children what to believe about everything that is important.
 
 
 
Leftists Call For Mass Murder
 
Have you seen the latest reaction of the unhinged neo-Marxist left? They are constantly saying conservatives and MAGA voters are like Nazis who want the equivalent of Germany in 1939. That’s ludicrous in a thousand ways. The most obvious is that we fight antisemitism while the left is all in on antisemitism.
 
Well, there’s a meme spreading all over social media right now. Leftists are saying, “They want 1939 Germany, let’s give them 1789 France.”
 
A couple of observations.
 
Social media platforms don’t seem very interested in taking down these calls for violence. Probably because their employees have no idea what “1789 France” refers to.
 
While conservatives frequently quote our Founding Fathers, the left almost never does. Our call for “revolution” is about getting back to the Founders’ vision of ordered liberty under God.
 
It’s telling that the left’s call for “revolution” is 1789 France – a bloody revolution against God. It literally ended with mobs burning churches and raping every nun they could get their hands on.
 
My point is simply this: Even as the left lashes out with the usual smears against us and Donald Trump, they don’t appeal to our American Revolution, a revolution for good, they appeal to the French Revolution, a revolution of mob violence and mass murder.
 
 
 
Big Apple Emergency
 
There is an ongoing emergency in New York City. It involves the governor, a federal judge, the major newspapers, and powerful lobbying groups. It is roiling the city unlike anything since COVID, and we ought to be paying attention.
 
Is the emergency that another NYPD officer was shot by a repeat violent offender? No, that’s not it.
 
Is the emergency about the hundreds of Hamas supporters who just drove into an Orthodox Jewish community to harass the residents there? No, I haven’t seen anyone in New York upset about that scene, which was reminiscent of 1930s Germany.
 
Maybe the emergency is about the latest attack on an innocent woman riding the subway. No, the elites don’t care about that because most people riding the subway are poor workers.
 
The emergency in New York City, the issue that has everyone’s hair on fire, is the fact that Mayor Eric Adams is cooperating with the Trump administration to remove felons who are also illegal aliens from the United States.
 
Adams was accused of graft and was prosecuted by the Biden administration because he publicly criticized Joe Biden’s open border policies that were destroying his city.
 
Adams still supports New York City being a “sanctuary city.” He just doesn’t want it to be a sanctuary for criminal aliens.
 
The Democrat Party is going crazy. They are falling on their sword again over a fringe position opposed by the vast majority of Americans, providing further proof that there is no hope for the Democrat Party moving to the political center.
 
 
 
Vance’s Audience
 
Vice President Vance’s speech to the Munich Security Conference continues to cause all kinds of indigestion. Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal had multiple columns suggesting that Vance’s speech runs the real risk of breaking the U.S.-European alliance.
 
That’s totally wrong. If anything breaks the alliance, it will be European governments embracing censorship and locking out conservative populist views.
 
The critics are saying it was really insulting for the vice president to talk to European leaders that way. But as Victor Davis Hanson and others have pointed out, the critics still don’t get it.
 
J.D. Vance wasn’t really talking to the globalist leaders in the room at the Munich conference. He was talking to the people of Europe. Vance was telling them:
 
“We hear you. We believe you. We’re fighting the same left-wing impulses in America, and now we’re back on the right road. Don’t give up. Be of good cheer. Secure your borders. Vote for traditional European values. Embrace faith, family, and freedom. Make your governments do the same.”
 
That’s what really outraged the elites in the room. Vance, and through him Donald Trump and the United States, was encouraging Europeans to be Europeans, instead of passively lying there while Islam on the one hand or Marxism on the other destroys them.
