Trump Appeals to Black Americans
Donald Trump’s law and order speech in Wisconsin [Tuesday] night was masterful. He did what Republicans have failed to do for decades by directly going after the votes of black Americans who have been most hurt by liberal policies. I’m realistic about his chances in winning over black voters, but at least he made the case! There are many black mothers with frightened children struggling to lead families without fathers. They don’t want their streets turned into war zones. And Trump appealed to them.
He said:
“The violence, riots and destruction that have taken place in Milwaukee is an assault on the right of all citizens to live in security and peace. Law and order must be restored… but most especially for the sake of those living in the affected communities.
"The main victims of these riots are law-abiding African-American citizens living in these neighborhoods. It is their jobs, their homes, their schools and communities which will suffer as a result. There is no compassion in tolerating lawless conduct. Crime and violence is an attack on the poor, and will never be accepted in a Trump Administration.”
Trump followed that up with a devastating attack on Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party, saying:
“The narrative that has been pushed aggressively for years now by our current administration, and pushed by my opponent Hillary Clinton, is a false one. The problem in our poorest communities is not that there are too many police. The problem is that there are not enough police…
"Just like Hillary Clinton is against the miners, she is against the police… Those peddling the narrative of cops as a racist force in our society — a narrative supported with a nod by my opponent — share directly in the responsibility for the unrest in Milwaukee, and many other places within our country. They have fostered the dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America… The war on our police must end. It must end now…
"Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, the violent disruptor. Our job is to make life more comfortable for the African-American parent who wants their kids to be able to safely walk the streets. Or the senior citizen waiting for a bus. Or the young child walking home from school…
"My opponent would rather protect the offender than the victim. Hillary Clinton-backed policies are responsible for the problems in the inner cities today, and a vote for her is a vote for another generation of poverty, high crime, and lost opportunities. I care too much about my country to let that happen. We all care too much about our country to let that happen.”
That is what every Republican should be saying every day from now until November 8th. If only they had said it in 2008 or 2012.
Here’s another way to look at it. The policeman who shot Sylville Smith is a black man. Smith is a black man. They went to the same high school. They were raised in the same neighborhood. They knew each other.
One man in that challenging neighborhood chose the path of law enforcement and is working — risking his life — to make that neighborhood a better place. The other man chose a path of crime and was making that neighborhood less safe.
Yet every time, the left comes down on the side of the criminal.
Donald Trump and conservatives stand with policemen. If the criminal had shot first and the black policeman had died, would anyone on the left be chanting, “Black lives matter”?
Pray For The Police
That black Milwaukee policeman survived that confrontation in the streets on August 13th. But right now, he and his family are not safe.
The progressives figured out who he was. They published his name, Dominique Heaggan-Brown, his photo and his home address. It has been all over social media in the past 24 hours. There are thousands of death threats against him and his family.
I don’t need a poll to know that not one of the individuals threatening that police officer is a Republican or conservative. They are more likely Obama/Hillary supporters. That is where the hate in America is coming from. I am waiting for the first major American media outlet to expose it, but I won’t hold my breath.
Pray for Officer Heaggan-Brown and his family. Pray for all the men and women on the thin blue line.
Clinton Transcript Released… NOT
[Tuesday] The FBI released a “heavily redacted” summary of last month’s interview with Hillary Clinton regarding her use of a private email server while she served as secretary of state. They also released the agents’ notes. But all of it is being kept under lock and key in a secured room on Capitol Hill. And exactly who can see it is a mystery.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told Fox News that even he lacks the security clearance to read all of the documents. We were told nothing important was on Hillary’s unsecured server, but the FBI’s notes and its summary are so secret that members of Congress can’t see it all?
This proves yet again how much Hillary lied to the American people when she said nothing classified was sent or received on her private server. She exposed all that top secret information to our enemies, and has gotten away with it.
Obamacare Is Collapsing
President Obama’s signature legislative accomplishment — Obamacare — is collapsing. Here’s the latest:
Aetna is abandoning the federal government’s managed healthcare scheme. Humana and United Healthcare have already abandoned the exchanges.
Blue Shield of California announced that it will begin furloughing workers.
Two-thirds of the co-ops established by the Affordable Care Act have shut down.
Major double-digit premium increases are expected in several states. It seems the “Affordable” Care Act really isn’t affordable after all.
All of this is happening for the same reason — Obamacare is proving to be financially unsustainable.
Not surprisingly, one report warned last week, “Next President Faces Possible Obamacare Meltdown.”
Black Churches Rebuke Black Lives Matter
Earlier this month, the Black Lives Matter movement released a platform that accused Israel of being “an apartheid state” that was “guilty of genocide.”
Incredibly, there was not one word about the relentless terror campaigns waged against Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and elements of the Palestinian Authority. There was no condemnation of any Middle East regime that denies basic human rights to minorities or prohibits the freedom of religion.
This is raw anti-Semitism plain and simple. As Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz wrote in response, “singling Israel out and falsely accusing it of ‘genocide’ can be explained in no other way than blatant hatred of Jews and their state.”
Now some black churches are speaking up. Kudos to Bishop Lawrence M. Wooten, president of Ecumenical Leadership Council-St. Louis. He published an open letter this week in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch rebuking the BLM movement.
Bishop Wooten wrote: “The Ecumenical Leadership Council of Missouri, representing hundreds of predominantly African-American churches throughout the state, rejects without hesitation any notion or assertion that Israel operates as an apartheid country. We embrace our Jewish brethren in America and respect Israel as a Jewish state.”
Why We Need “Extreme Vetting”
Earlier this week, Donald Trump outlined a central pillar of his immigration reform plan — “extreme vetting” for those wanting to enter the country. Many on the left and even some on the right have complained that his approach “violates our values."
Check out my latest web video to understand why Trump is right, why his critics are wrong and why we need extreme vetting of immigrants.
